Even after Dawn leaves in the 5th Generation? I mean even if the next girl doesn't do contests? I think it'd be kind of cool if she kept doing them, while following Ash and the gang. What do you think?

If there is no Contests in the 5th Generation or there is a new gimmick instead of Contests, then there is no logical reason for Musashi to continue doing them since it's just pointless for them not to be advertising the new gimmick. So if they aren't going to continue to promote the Contest aspect of the game, then no. If they continue, sure, why not?

We still don't know if Dawn will leave so don't say that as a fact
Also, even if Dawn leave - I have no doubts at all that new girl will still do Contests
Contests are their way to appeal to girls and they became an important part of the show so I doubt they won't keep them
And if Dawn or new girl is doing Contests, it's obvious Jessie will continue as the Contests are part of her character and she's gradually improving

I thought it was confirmed by some one who worked in the Jappaness department that every girl leaves after every generation? There just sadly used for boys. I'd hate to see every new girl to do contests, it'd be such a bore. Which why I suggest to have Jessie be the main gal to do them, than it'd be kept in the background but at the same time have the new girl do some thing else. Jessie could hit every contest there is while following Ash and co. It'd be different for the anime.

Well yeah, it would be such a shame if she never got to the Grand Festival, and she's clearly not getting there this time... I'm having my hopes up for the filler saga, though. But if the new girl after Hikari does something else, it's bye bye to contests in general. :(

That was ONE interview with ONE out of a LOT of people who work on this show
The interview also wasn't that "official" in my opinion since it was done by a fan and posted on his fan site
So no, I don't see that as a confirmation of anything
We'll never be able to know for sure if a character will leave or not until it actually happens

Jessie isn't the starring character
The whole purpose of Contests was to have girl star together with Ash and have her own girly plot (=Contests)
What can be as girly as Contests or more girly than them? why would they even think about replacing them after they've been in most of the show by now? for the anime - the Contests became as important as the Gyms and I can't see either of these plots ever replaced

Jessie gradually gets stroner and better so the writers should at least let her participate in at least one GF... but advertisment or not, I doubt the writers would just remove contest from the face of the (Poke)world... they are shown as nearly as popular as the leagues themselves so I doubt they'd just stop existing...

I doubt that Contests will appear in Gen V. So no.

Is there any logical reason you randomly came to that conclusion?
If they didn't want Contests they could simply not include them in DPt - but they did include them and made them even more important than they were in RSE (seriously, I think at least 5 people in the game talk about Contests a little before you arrive in Hearthome and then someone lead you to the Contest hall... if I remember correct) and they even bothered to improve the Contests rather than stick to what was in RSE
I totally expect Contests to still be there in the next gen games, probably improved/changed a little again and possibly getting a little more important similar to DPt compared to RSE

And again, they have absolutely no reason to remove their way to appeal to girls
Even the games in which the Contests aren't as important - they clearly try to use them to appeal to girls: a pink heart shaped "fashion case"? yeah, they couldn't make it any more obvious than that... not to mention the whole idea of using attacks to impress judges rather than fight, dance, dress up with cute accessories... and even your "points" in the contests are shown as hearts

Contests are here to stay, both in games and anime - currently we have no reason at all to doubt this

You bring up a good point, Piplup.

I feel stupid now.

Why exactly she shouldn't do Contests if she likes to and actually do it the right way most of the time instead of cheating? and how do you know she won't get in the GF? even if she'll fail at Sinnoh, she still proved she got much better and she can try the next saga's Contests and maybe actually make it to the GF then

Seeing as they've been such a huge contributor towards her character development, why would she not? It's nice to see her actually having a (reasonable) goal and working towards it.

She isn't a real coordinator. using James' pokemon is like cheating. Seviper and Wobbuffet in the GF? 0.o

She is. She has been for all of DP when she stopped cheating and using tricks. She's a legitimate competitor. The James ribbon is debatable, but her using James' pokemon isn't cheating. Misty wasn't kicked out of the Princess Competition for using other peoples' pokemon. It's not a problem.

I guess that if she will, Seviper and Wobbuffet will not be used there.

Oh how dare she use her best friend's pokemon!! She should be condemned to eternity in HELL!

At first I also didn't like that she use James' Poké but I decided to view it in a different way
Instead of viewing it as "Jessie use someone else's Poké" I now view it as "Jessie and James are best team and partners that one's Poké is kind of the other's too so they "share" they Poké"
