Should Mewtwo return again?

Do you think Mewtwo should make another appearance in a movie? I think once Ruler of Illusions and the innevitable Reshiram vs Zekrom are out of the way, the series should go back to its roots and have Ash meet Mewtwo again. I think they should also bring back Misty for the duration of the movie, and maybe Delia Ketchum and Professor Oak, but with some fifth generation Pokemon (including another legendary which plays a role in the plot) and new characters in there as well. I think this would make for an amazing movie - the perfect mix of old and new! Any thoughts?

I think they should also bring back Misty just for the duration of the movie, and maybe Delia Ketchum and Professor Oak, but with some fifth generation Pokemon and new characters in there as well.

Mewtwo, and Misty will never be in another full movie. Misty hasn't been in a movie since 2002, we are now in 2010.

Delia/Oak have a slight chance.

I'd like it if Mewtwo were to make a comeback. Maybe in a movie with tons of other legendaries! :D .

PSM made me hopeful we'd see Mewtwo again, but that was 5 years ago, so as much as I'd like for it to happen, I don't see it.

Half of the threads here are about old things and the return of them. This is definitely starting to be annoying, why people are mentioning Misty every time. Just forget about her already.

I think it'd be good for Mewtwo to make a comeback (after it has learned the true meaning of life) in one of the future movies.

The problem is that Mewtwo can't do much anymore. Even if he returned what will be his agenda? The most is have some cameo in a movie involving a villain trying to steal the power from all legendaries.

He might cameo, but giving him another full movie would be pointless.

...people are too stuck in the past =\
We'll get a whole new generation, new main characters, new legendaries... I seriously doubt Misty or Mewtwo will get a serious role in any of the BW movies... at best, a cameo...

I would like seeing him again. He was once considered being the strongest pokemon in world and to this day he isnt a joke either.Im sure writers could come up with some nice scenario involving Mewtwo making him important in story revolving around him.

I doubt it will have anything to do with TR and Giovanni anymore, but perhaps having him included in movie with some new legendary having confrontation betwee those two would be nice to see, well at least to me.

Nah its just some people prefer things from past over new ones and feels they deserve some mention. Not everyone are thrilled about new stuff coming in,while others are being dithed and basically forgotten.

New stuff with time become past too(DP is about to become),so at this rate lot of great things from past with some never receiving even closure(no need to mention which) should by some people standards be ignored?

Mewtwo maybe,Misty only if returns to cast or in last pokemon movie assuming writers want to reunite all main characters.
Thats about the only way to have her be in big role.

Why? No ,he shouldn't return, there is no purpose for him anymore that cant be filled with a cameo or a short mention. What would he do?Nothing,he already lives a pace full life, there is no conflict left for him,he is no longer interesting.

I would prefer much more to see a Giratina-level movie about something new and unexpected, and a new and interesting pokemon that uses a cool concept like parallel dimensions such as Giratina,or Nightmares such a Darkrai, than to see the same rehashed plot about the same boring pokemon.

Well they already wrapped up Mewtwo's story really, so I don't particularly care to see it again.

I personally would rather watch a movie involving Mew and Arceus XD

Understatement of the century.

That sums up my stance on this issure. Quite frankly... Why ? His story was resolved in the first movie, it was already a bit overkill to bring him back for that special and for the Mirage pokémon... There's nothing to gain from it, so I say no.

Perhaps he could turn up unexpectedly at a crucial point in the story to help Ash, like Charizard did in Spell of the Unown.

This, plus if M2 and Misty would return it would just be a cameo.

Maybe if Mewtwo played a secondary role. Kinda like how Mew did in Movie 8. It was still important to the plot but it didnt steal the spotlight from Lucario

Absolutely, yes, yes, and more yes!!! Mewtwo is so awesome, and is my favorite :)

How was that ever the root of the series? Mewtwo was in a movie and a special. Pokemon going back to its roots would be them not being afraid to have Pokemon actually hit each other when using a physical attack instead of cutting away to some "star" graphic. One time they had a Pokemon's Mach Punch create an ethereal hand to hit the opponent >_>
