Should the Team Plasma episodes air soon?

Note: I don't mean to sound insensitive with anything that's posted in this topic. I agree as much as everyone else how devastating natural disasters can be and people have every right to take pity for those who've been badly affected by them. What I'm bringing up is just something I've had on my mind lately that I wanted to share and would like to know what you think.

It's hard to believe that it's been five years since the devastating earthquake that hit Japan.
I remember when they had done so much promotion for the two-part Team Plasma episode that was scheduled to air that month, only for disaster to strike less than a week before the scheduled air date.
While I don't criticize them for not airing the episode, due to it having scenes of destruction, I also wonder if the Japanese fanbase would be ready to see it if it were to air in the near future.
I completely agree that natural disasters are devastating and take time to significantly recover from, but at the same time, since that earthquake happened, there have been other anime titles that have their share of episodes with destruction as well and more common than in Pokemon.
A couple of examples are Attack On Titan and Fairy Tail. I haven't seen much of AOT, but I know how intense that show tends to be with the first episode being a major example.
I've also seen over 130 episodes of Fairy Tail, many which aired after the earthquake and that show has its share of disaster scenes as well.
I admit that I don't know much about the fandoms these shows have in Japan, so I don't know whether or not Japanese fans felt like episodes like that reminded them too much of the earthquake. At the same time however, both titles are very popular, so the fans there don't seem to be overly affected by the content they saw.
But what I'm curious to know is, are AOT and FT televised in Japan, or are they released directly to DVD?
Regardless of how the episodes are distributed, would it be a good idea for the Team Plasma episodes to air in the near future? Since in recent years, other anime titles have had episodes with scenes much like the content from those particular Pokemon episodes, and as far as I know, none of them got scrapped or resulted in major controversy.
Because of this, I'm curious to know if Japanese Pokemon fans would be ready to see the Team Plasma episodes if they did get scheduled to air this or next year.

While it would be interesting to see their original plans for the two-parter and Team Plasma as a whole, I'm not sure why they'd release them now. It has been years and Episode N existed to introduce Neo Team Plasma into the anime for a bit of last minute B2/W2 promotion. I don't think that they're going to release the episode. The most we can reasonably hope for would be someone to describe their original plans for the two parter and Team Plasma in an interview, but that probably won't happen for awhile if it ever does.

Max1996: I'm not optimistic about it. I was just wondering if it'd be worth airing if they chose to do it.
I do know that every anime fandom has fans who want to see every episode that was made, regardless of the number and Pokemon is no exception.
Every anime series is going to have at least a few die-hards in its fandom and there are Pokemon fans would be excited to see the episodes that were scrapped before their scheduled air dates. Even though not all of those episodes were important, it still gives fans a chance to see something extra.

Even if they don't air the episodes, it would've been nice if the writers revealed what they had planned for TP's future.

At least we'd know what we missed :/

I wanted a lot for those episodes to air back in 2011 and all... While I see no reason for OLM or TV Tokyo to air them 5 years later I also see why couldn't they give us info or the closure of said two-parter.

Didn't Cartoon Network waited over 10 years to make that inappropriate Dexter's Lab episode available? I know the comparision's not good, but I think the internet could help us in at least informations... (I realise it'll probably never happen though)

Another reason I think the Plasma episodes were skipped's because they were no important for that time... For all we know Plasma-dan wouldn't appear for the next 6 months or so, what if that was their only appearance in that BW outfit?

Tartakovsky liked to screen it every now and again during public appearances, and it wasn't Cartoon Network proper that officially released it, but their adult-oriented wing, Adult Swim. Not really a comparable situation, in any case.

It's incredibly unlikely that the TP episodes will ever be released, especially since Episode N largely supplanted them in terms of relation to the overall storyline.

Oh sorry... I had no infos towards Dexter's episode. Just knew it had been banned and made available over Youtube years later... Didn't realise the creator had been showing it already. My bad.

Now for the thread's creator, FT and Shingeki no Kyojin're both shounen series while Pokemon's a kodomo. Therefore having different target audiences, they also have different censoring approaches. Not mentioning the former's considered a family anime.

"Barboach vs Whiscash" is also a banned episode, and was most likely a filler that if it were broadcasted now it would only remind people about the AG series. If that hasn't aired after 11 years, I don't see how an episode that contradicts the show's canon and that would cause some memories of early 2011 because of the promotion it had would air after only 5 years. Additionaly, Pokenchi doesn't have a spot for reairing old episodes, so it would have to be broadcasted in another spot.

Our only hope to get some information about these episodes would be an inofficial interview with a series writer, like the one Pokebeach did in 2008.

I stake my Shiny Cryogonal that the two Best Wishes episodes will never air because of the poorly-written "Episode: N" replacing them from the canon. Knowing what would've happened in those episodes (and possible subsequent episodes) is what they should at least reveal through an interview. This isn't the first time a potential arc was shelved: remember the GS Ball, guys? Had that been kept, maybe Johto wouldn't be as fillerrific as it eventually did.

It's not about if the fans are ready to see them, it's about if TV Tokyo and The Pokémon Company are willing to release it.
Which they're clearly not.

What in the world for?????

Its been a few days short of 5 years, we've more or less moved on, TV Tokyo/OLM just swept these episodes under the rug like they never existed, and Episode N was made special to give fans TP in the Show (as lousy as it was).

There is absolutely NO point in even thinking about those episodes, let alone if we'll ever see them.

Would have been nice if we could? Oh yes. But at this point it hardly matters, so what's the use of wondering?

Yeah, the most we can hope for are informations like people are saying... I'd like to know things such as what'd be the Sunglasses Waruvile's role, if Sakaki'd meet Satoshi for real (not counting Mewtwo Returns for that Meloetta two-parter), and what was Plasma-dan going to do...

I still hope for an interview where they reveal it all... Kinda like what was revealed about GS Ball 8 years after it left the show for good.

The embarrassing mistake they made regarding the GS ball is one of the worst examples of how much the Pokemon anime jumped the shark and why the Johto Arc is an embarrassment to anime.
Thankfully, there are alternative anime choices like Fullmetal Alchemist and Fairy Tail that make the Johto seasons easier to swallow.
Watching three episodes of either of those titles will give you more story and character development than both Orange Islands and Johto arcs combined, because the writers of those series had enough common sense to have commitment to consistent writing and not bail on a certain part of the story, hoping the viewers will forget about it.

"As of December 2015, TVTokyo's official statement is still that it will someday air, but only once an airdate that does not interrupt the schedule of the XY series has been selected."
Weird. That last statement used to say something along "with the conclusion of the BW series and the beginning of the XY series, it's not likely this will ever come to pass", referring to TV Tokyo's 5-year old statement. I want to believe, but you can't just trust Bulbapedia, specially on stuff like this.
