Should they bring back "Vs. Mewtwo"?

For those of you who remember Pokemon Stadium, "Vs. Mewtwo" was the final battle of each Round. However, rather than facing a team of Pokemon, you only faced Mewtwo. You could also use all 6 Pokemon, but that didn't make the battle easy.

I would like to see something like this brought back for a console game for the Wii or Wii U, where you take a team of 6 Pokemon and battle 1 incredibly powerful Legendary Pokemon. Maybe they could take Mewtwo for instance and set its stats to its highest possible, or even program them to be higher than a Mewtwo captured in the main series, just to make it challenging. And maybe specifically for Mewtwo, have it appear in the Mecha armor it wore will being used by Team Rocket from the 1st movie. (Just a fun extra!) I would like to see this included for other Pokemon and expanded, like possibly battling Giratina in the Distortion World.

I realize this isn't likely to happen and that there could be programming issues as well, but I just thought I'd ask if anyone else would like to see a feature like this added to the next console game.

The reason Mewtwo was tough to beat is because the SpA and SpD stats were shared in one. Mewtwo will be obliterated by a Pokemon w/ speed stats higher than 130 and high Attack or SpA followed by a SE move.

Nope, they shouldn't. As @Ghetsis-Dennis pointed out, Mewtwo is no longer the king that he once was. That match was challenging not only because Mewtwo was the "then" strongest Pokemon at the time, but also because the Psychic type was even far more broken than Dragon is today.

Now, as for the feature? How about facing a maxed out (beneficial nature in every stat) Choice Scarf Kyogre. A special one that is also allowed to change its moves and not be locked into them. Though, far more likely is if they brought back this feature no one would get it but a maxed out Extremekiller Arceus.

Another idea is facing a gauntlet of Arceus's 16 types, THAT would be epic.

Yeah, that's what I figured everyone would say. Strong Bug moves didn't exist back then, and neither did the Dark-type at all. Mewtwo was also the only Pokemon with stats that high, but now it shares them with other Legendary Pokemon, and Arceus beats it. That's why I knew it probably wouldn't happen, I was just wondering if anyone else liked the idea of it coming back, IF it were still a challenge somehow. The only thing I could think of that would make it challenging would be for it to have stats set higher than a Mewtwo captured and trained in say FR/LG or HG/SS could have, basically something you might see if it were a hacked Mewtwo or something. But again, more than likely won't happen.

I like this idea. But not Mewtwo. It's easily beaten now. I like the Arceus's 16 types idea. Either that or like a boosted power Arceus that's almost impossible to beat. I'd like that challenge.

Yeah, I like the idea... but that may just be because I like Mewtwo, lol. But yeah, if they set the stats beyond the maximum possible then it'd be enough of a challenge... really, they could make it just as strong as an Arceus... they could set its stats to whatever values they want and it would be no different than an Arceus set to the same values (except for the fact that the Arceus can change type). They could even make it so that it isn't weak to Dark, Ghost, and Bug... to make it more of a challenge. Or give him Aura Sphere, Shadow Ball, and Fire Blast to make him more even.
And the armored look (like in the anime) would be cool. Going by the function of the armor in the anime it wouldn't make much sense (since the armor actually weakened Mewtwo), but it'd still be cool. The only problem is that I don't think many of the newer players would even care about Mewtwo... he's a bit outdated and he never played a real role in any game story at all (except for briefly being mentioned in the Cinnabar journals).
I suppose it'd be cool if in the next Stadium-type game they included like some sort of area where you fight Legendaries as bosses, with not just Mewtwo but the important Legendaries from each game (or maybe even all the Legendaries) and each one had either maxed stats or beyond the max possible. Although, the coolness might wear off if its done to too many of them... maybe a single boss would be best.
Also, from a programming standpoint, none of that would cause any problems at all. They could even do things that are impossible to do by simply hacking, like create an entirely new Pokémon or give a Pokémon three or more types. Just as long as the Pokémon can't be transferred to an existing game it doesn't matter what they do.
