Hey all,
Does anyone know the secret to why the eastern and westernmost doors in the mansion before the trophy garden are blocked off?

Also, I'm not sure how widely reported this is, but I see people get it wrong all of the time in other forums. If you save before you speak to the mansion owner to find out what new pokemon's in the garden. You can restart if he announces a pokemon you didn't want. With enough patience, he will eventually go through all of the pokemon that can possibly be found there.

Also, I have a few trades I'd like to make. I am especially looking for the following pokes: magmar (with evolution device), beldum, munchlax, bagon, and duskull. I would prefer if they were female so I could breed them, but it's not a deal killer otherwise. I think I have a quite a number of pokemon (like elekid and porygon) that I see people trying to get a hold of.

My friend code is: 3436 9667 2312

There's definitely something about those doors. I borrowed my friend's AR and tried using the walk through walls thing. When I got through the guards to the doors, the arrow popped up, like I could go through them, but when I tried, it sent me passed them, into the blackness. There might be something having to do w/ the doors in a third version.

I think it may just be one of those "mysteries" game developers add, but their isn't any point to them at all.

The game's code indicates that there is NOTHING behind those doors, and is simply there to entice players.

One side contains Darkrai, Shaymin, and Arceus and the other contains Jirachi, Mew, and Celebi *shot*

Maybe they'll add something for those doors in the third game.....

I suspect it's like that truck thing in R/B/G/Y was speculated to be- the makers of the game originally intended to do something more with it, but never finished it, and it was just left in the game as an easter egg (well, the doors are hardly considered to be easter eggs, but oh well).

I have a Duskull and a Beldum, and I would want a Porygon and an Elekid (if it has the evolution item). PM me for my friend code.

I wonder if that's really all there is to it. I mean maybe you know how to hack the game and if so, I'll defer to you, but like that rock on the edge of route 224 that I think is related to shaymin (from what I've read). I can't help but think there's more to it.

Also, do any of you know what touching the statue in the room with the mansion owner is supposed to do? For some reason you can only touch it really early in the morning, but if you do, nothing special seems to happen.

A friend of mine said that the mansion owner is really a pokemon hoarding criminal and all his stolen pokemon are behind the doors.

Mansion owner: Oh yes, I see many Yanma outside today.

Guard: Sir, the Yanma aren't out there.

Mansion owner: Well, fix that *achem* Yes, lovely Yanma outside today...

XD it kept us entertained at least ^^;

Here's what you do: Keep touching the statue until the guard yells at you and calls in for backup, the backup will be the two maids guarding the side doors, so now you can go through them! The one on the left leads to Bill's backyard where you can catch all twelve starters. If you go inside Bill's house he will just send you back to Sinnoh since Kanto isn't supposed to be in this game, but if you go there with a Venusaur and Blastoise in your party he'll put them in his teleportation machine and combine them into Venustoise which he'll give to you! If you go back into his house with Venustoise in your party he'll take you to the Unknown Dungeon where you can catch Mewtwo. After you catch Mewtwo you can keep going back, but instead of Mewtwo, you'll find Missingno. and when you catch it it will be holding the stone that evolves all the final evolutions of the starters! The door on the right goes to a small field with one house. Inside is a guy who wants you to trade him a Raichu for his Electrode. Do the trade and he'll tell you Raichu went away and evolved! To get the evolved form of Raichu (known as Godchu) go to the guy you traded Raichu to and make sure you have a Lv 100 Staraptor in your party. He'll fly you to an island in Vermilion Harbor where you can catch Godchu. Surf north until you get to land and you'll see a truck, use strength on it and you'll battle Mew. Catch Mew and it will be holding the Three Stone, use the Three Stone on Mewtwo to evolve it into Mewthree! Now, if you have done all that, go and beat the elite four 100 times with Mewthree, Venustoise, and Godchu in you party, afterwards, Professor Oak will show up and give you, you guessed it, Togepi!!! Oh, but don't go back in the mansion afterwards or Mr. Backlot will zap you with a bolt of lightning and you'll lose all your hearts, oh wait wrong game...

OK, maybe not, but it was still fun coming up with that :p

Basically all that stuff is just thrown in to make players speculate, and people with too much free time on their hands come up with stuff like that.

You, good sir, win the thread. Especially for the Togepi bit.

You know... The game creators should totally do something like that, JUST for the fact that noone would ever believe it.

Otherwise... Awesome combination of just about every fake code from rby.

OK early this morning, and I mean REALLY early, I touched the statue. I've tried before between 7 and 8am when I worked the 8:00 shift at work, but it didn't work. So when I got up in the middle of the night last night around 4:30 I realized how close it was to morning and in fact it was already morning on Diamond. So that got me to thinking, considering morning starts at 4:00, if 4:30 wasn't early enough in the morning to touch the statue, it would be safe to call the statue-touching thing a hoax. So now for the on-topic part:

When you go in there early in the morning (like I said, I went in around 4:30), the guard isn't there and you can touch it to your heart's content. All that happens when you push A on it is a message will say:
It's and expensive looking Pokemon statue.
!...
You got fingerprints on it!
That's it, and even if you go back when the guard is there, nothing is different. And yes I did save after touching the statue, the guard says and does nothing different whether you talk to him or try to touch the statue, it's as if you didn't touch it at all. And while I was in there I checked the side doors, the maids are still blocking them.
