We recently received a small sidequest of throwing Pyukumuka back into the sea, because they are very stubborn from moving from one spot and starves. This pays a hefty sum of P$20 000.

So what other sidequests may we possibly receive during our adventure in Alola?

I can maybe see a sidequest where you use Gumshoos to stake out a few Alolan Rattata in a city where they have been causing trouble.

Collect some coconuts found of some palm trees and sell/trade them.

One of my favorite things in B2W2 is the completely pointless side-task of going through the Celestial Tower to ring the bell for a newlywed couple, and having to battle the groom's jilted ex-lovers along the way. I'd love to see more stuff like that.

@Esserise Okay I am suddenly super excited to get to playing white 2 eventually that sounds freaking fantastic.

I like a side quest that takes you to a town you don't necessarily have to go to during the main story. I'm the sort of player who likes to have out of the way trips because someone really needs help. Like saving Peeko in Hoenn. It was required, sure, but otherwise why would I have walked into that cave in the first place?

While they're not necessarily quests, I'd love the ability to eventually get a little house or something that I can just decorate or something of that sort. Or even the ability to decorate our bedrooms. I missed that from Gold and Silver. I also would like a little mini quest that gives us a reason to do things like harvest berries and things like that. Like they would ask for a certain number of a berry, then you get that number and they give you a prize/reward for it (hello, possible way to get bottlecaps!).

Let's have Kukui task us to discover some new Alola Forms by finding uncharted areas in the Alola Region. Also, maybe give us a side-quest that involves figuring out the secret behind Alolan Raichu, which in turn will reward us with the Raichium Z used for Alolan Raichu's signature Z-Move: Stoked Sparksurfer.

What if instead of having a house to decorate, we can decorate a small island of our own? You could plant palm trees, build houses, farm for berries and trade codes between other players which opens up their island which you can visit. Basically, Secret Islands. :)

I like the idea of secret islands. I was thinking because it's Alola, you get to communicate with an island spirit who has you solve a 1,000 year-old mystery of a family that vanished.
Detective Gumshoos and the Millennial Mystery!

I know its less of a side quest and more a side activity, but I'm getting to experience the Underground for the first time in Platinum and it's super fun. o-o I want something like this in the games again... mostly because I have no one local to play with.

Thisss. I loved that digging minigame, definitely the most fun way to look for items imo, I'd love to have that back.

Digging, diving, hunting randomly in forests... foraging for items via a fun mini game is always great in my book.

Imagine a little screen on the touch pad where you tap/swipe to move leaves and branches from a bush out of the way to find random items like berries, mushrooms, or bottle caps (of course some useless items like pretty wings) as one example. Sometimes you might find a morelull or something and it ends the game early.

This could be great way to actually search for Mega Stones instead of just buying them at a store.
