Signature censor over unregistered/low posts

Log out and look at a thread. Try looking at someone's signature. Only way I can explain this.

Unregistered/Low posts sigs are meant to be censored. It's to stop people from being hit by spammers.

But I think it wasn't like that before the upgrade, right? Did we have spammers ending up spamming someone due to something in the sig or something else?

We had spammers who'd basically throw links in their signature which would point people to malware.

Hmm... what about images? Can we at least allows images to load? And if the image is also a link, is it possible for the link to be disabled for unregistered users?

I think pictures can cause malware too. Because once, I was was clicking pictures on google, and a picture I clicked on gave me 38 viruses.

Wait, I think I've misunderstood this issue. It's not that people with low post counts can't add these to their own sigs, it's that they can't see them themselves on other peoples sigs. Okay, now that wasn't intentional. Checking what could have caused that.
