Silvally is like Arceus. It changes types when holding certain items. Choose a type that makes sense for it.

I'll go with Steel.

I'm not 100% sure what all of its type colors are, since some shades are similar to others, but I'm fond of Dragon and Grass.

I would go with Dragon obviously. Probably teach counter moves for some of it's weaknesses.

Personally, I can't wait to see how ridiculous it's move pool is. I know it has a move that changes based on its type, but I can imagine it has a huge list of TMs it can learn as well.

If it really is a mini-Arceus (meaning that it gets a similar movepool and stat distribution) then the best one will be the default Normal variation because it gets STAB Extreme Speed and a plethora of coverage moves to hit Rock, Steel, and Ghost types

I think I'll be either using Fire, since that's my favourite Type, or Steel, since my Team feels threatened to Fairy Types. If I don't think It's movepool is suited for steel, I'll just give Incineroar and Kommo-o steel moves.

[ /SPOILER]

I'd go for Ice. Because we need more Ice-types! :)

If I use one, I'll just change its type to fill whatever type gaps I have in my team.

I'm gonna go with fire, because I'm already using Baile Oricorio for when I get Sun, and we seem to be getting less and less fire types with each new generation. I might use a Fire Silvally for Moon.

This is a no-brainier for me: Ice. With the possibility of only ONE new Ice-type (one that's NOT a retooled old Mon) in the games, I may have to call upon this guy as a backup plan if the only other possible option doesn't work out for me.

To be completely freaking honest I find Silvally's different color palettes for the types to be... not that great. I think it's the fact that its tail changes color too; they're just way too saturated with those neighboring dark and dull blues, grays and purples.

If it were for aesthetics alone I'd probably go with its Normal variation, though if my team needs some more type coverage I'd change accordingly (perhaps Electric cause that type is awesome, and I got no other ones planned).

This, I don't like any of them really. The type colors just don't blend in well with the rest of the design somehow, they just look off. I think it's indeed the tail color also changing that does it.

If the colors were darker and much less saturated I think it would've worked better, cause even the crest spikes look out of place. Or perhaps they could've just skipped coloring the tail altogether and make it gray like the neck/head instead, only letting the spikes change.

Hmm, I want to try experimenting a bit with this. It won't change anything of course but it will calm my artist mind for sure. xD
