I have been working on this theory for a long time now, but I finally have found proof of Silver being Roark. If you look at the two Picture's you can see that it is just a clothes change, glasses and helmet and on.


Don't you agree?

Dude, you are not the first to think of this. I remember when Silver HGSS artwork came out people would draw helmets and glasses on him and they would look exactly the same. But then again, people also said Silver, Roark, and Mars are related, and then Ariana came into the picture and it all went downhill.

Point is, they aren't the same, not by a longshot. Just the same style of hair and that's it. Apparently that look is very common.

Also, why is this in the anime board? The only time Silver ever appeared in the anime he DIDN'T look like Roark.
 
Um no Silver is not Roark.

Have you played the Pokemon games or are you just going by the looks, because it looks like the latter.
 
No. Just because Silver and Roark look alike doesn't mean they're related or the same person.

I really don't think so, can't be justified because their hair color barely matches or just because they have some similarites... hey look, Volkner and Palmer have the same hair (sorta) so what?
 
It was a theory when I got my HG & SS I noticed they looked similiar. I shouldn't of jupmed to conclusions. I guess there is a logic explanation

Lazy artwork, am I right? Heck, even sprite recycling of Morrigan, from 1994's Darkstalkers to New Age of Heroes in 2000 and Akira Toriyama's artwork rival this laziness.

Oh my god! Flannery's hair colour is pretty close to Silver's... you know what I'm thinkin'.
 
So Byron = Giovanni. They are the fathers after all . . . I agree that this makes no sense. :c
 
*sigh* It can't be, because Silver is Giovanni's son, Roark is Byron's son and the two game trilogies (Gold/Silver/Crystal or HGSS and Diamond/Pearl/Platinum) take place at the same time. It's possible they're related, but that's as close as the theories can get without being shot out the sky.
