Daniel Fenway walked out of his house in Twinleaf Town. The breeze was stiff, and the grass rustled rather sleepily. Some Pokemon scattered through the tall grass and trees. Dan unbuttoned his green flannel jacket. He didn't take in the beauty of the verdurous town; Dan was very hasty. He quickly raced to the lab of Professor Rowan in Sandgem Town, nearly mowing down some of the Pokemon living in the tall grass. He skidded to a halt right in front of the impressive building. Dan took a minute to shuffle through his book bag. He had a badge case, some Poke Balls, and a Super Potion. Dan smiled and said aloud, "Now I'm finally going to start this journey!"

One of Rowan's assistants, hearing the shout, walked outside. She took off her glasses. "Ah, it's you," she said reluctantly. "So, you're here for your first Pokemon?"

"You bet!" Dan took out one of the Poke Balls and handed it to her. "One Chimchar, please!"

"Chimchar?" The assistant stared at him. "Are you sure that Chimchar is your final decision?" She beckoned him inside of the lab to where the Pokemon Professor was. Professor Rowan raised an eyebrow at Dan's entrance.

"You aren't here for a Pokemon, are you, Daniel?" Rowan looked rather annoyed. "You do know that the Pokemon were shipped off yesterday, correct?"

Dan was dumbstruck. "Wha- what? But it took me so long to decide! Wait, wait. I want Turtwig! Turtwig is more cool of a Pokemon!"

"Listen, boy!" Professor Rowan scolded him. "We don't have any Chimchar, Turtwig or Piplup on hand. There are currently no Starter Pokemon on hand here at the lab."

"No way!" Dan made a fist. "I've waited months for this day, and it was actually yesterday!" Professor Rowan and his assistant exchanged glances.

"Daniel, we're not even sure if you're ready to take care of your own Pokemon. You are terribly rash... is that really good for a friend?" Both of them expressed concern.

Dan shook his head. "Come on! You've gotta give me one more chance! Please..." He swept his brown hair to the side. His eyes were welling up. Professor Rowan closed his eyes and breathed in.

"Please follow me."

OOC: I might not post again for a while, or maybe not at all today. This is just an intro to get me started. Feel free to post any time soon!

Twins Calvin and Camille were walking from their home in Twinleaf Town. They each had heavy backpacks on, containing all sorts of equipment. All in all, the backpacks weighed roughly 20 pounds apiece. Of course, this made traveling more difficult, but they were getting good exercise. They made their long trek to Sandgem Town, stopping at Professor Rowan's lab. They were about to knock, but heard yelling, and decided against it, preferring to 'stay outside the circle' as their dad so eloquently put it. The sat down, and watched the sky.

Professor Rowan led Dan into another room of the lab. Here, some scientists seemed to be observing and running tests on Pokemon. Dan saw a fox Pokemon, a plant Pokemon, and a beaver Pokemon. Rowan gestured to the working men and women. "Here, we study Pokemon," the Professor said. "As you surely know, I am currently studying Pokemon evolution."

Dan shook his head. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. What's in it for me?" He ran over to the Bidoof. "This one looks weird." Then, he ran over to the Vulpix. "Too girly. But they're all so cool, too! I think. Wait, which one should I choose?"

Professor Rowan was now thoroughly annoyed at Dan and thought him incompetent. "Listen, I'm going to give you a Pokemon. I will give you this Bidoof." Rowan nodded to a man in a white lab coat, and the man let the Pokemon off of the examination table. It let out a purr and started chasing its puffy tail. Professor Rowan quizically raised an eyebrow, as he often did. "Now are you ready to get off my hands?"

Calvin and Camille didn't hear yelling anymore, but still thoughtm they should wait untl whoever was in there was done. Hopefully, they'd be able to get their Pokemon.

Dan frowned. "Huh... Can't I have more time to decide?"

"Absolutely not!" Professor Rowan was extremely angry at this point, making fists with both hands. His face looked like a beet.

"Hm, I guess Bidoof is cool," Dan said. Bidoof jumped into his arms, but the 44lbs. quickly weighed him down. "Ouch..." Professor Rowan adjusted his mustache and pointed to the door.

"Young man, today is a very busy work day. If I do not get any work done, I am going to call your parents," he said. Dan naturally turned and ran away.

"Thanks, pops!"

Dan accidentally ran into Calvin on his way out. "Oooh, sorry, bro. I was just gonna put this thing in a Poke Ball," he said, quickly taking one out. "Now, watch how I do it. I'm, like, a master at this." Dan threw the Poke Ball at the Bidoof's head, causing it to wince before being sucked in.

"See? Perfect capture!" Dan put his arm around Calvin. "Listen, bro. There are no more Turtwigs. No Chimchars or Piplups. You and your girlfriend've gotta ask him for one of the other ones. See ya, bro!" Dan quickly ran off onto the first Route of his journey before either twin could respond.

And so the story begins...

Calvin and Camille just looked at Dan curiously. Camille looked like she was going to go after him and correct him. "It's a common misconception, Camille, let it go." Calvin sighed, grabbing her and knocking on the door. "I hope we didn't come at a bad time...?"

Professor Rowan's assistant opened the door. "Ah, hello. Are you two our expected guests? I'm sorry, but we're currently out of Starter Pokemon."

"I had a feeling. Oh, well." Calvin said, leaing Camille away. "Looks we'll be going to plan B." They went back home, retrieving Pokemon that they and their family had been taking care of, and went past Sandgem Town. "Sucks they didn't have any starter Pokemon, but the Pokemon mom and dad raised for us will work just fine."

Near where Calvin and Camille were walking, Dan was running. Several Bidoof and Starly were chasing after him. In hand he had 5 Oran Berries. "These are my Oran Berries! Hey-ey-ey!" Dan was running very quickly and carelessly hit a tree. A Combee came out and landed on his head.

"Alright, listen here, bub. I don't care for you Combees at all, got it? Please kindly leave my head." The Combee didn't seem to care, and began biting him. Dan was then tackled by an angry Bidoof. "Fine, fine! Hey-ey-ey-ey-ey, here are your berries," he managed to say. He dropped the Oran Berries and dusted himself off. "Oh, so I'M the one who's selfish? MY Bidoof was much hungrier than YOU Bidoof."

His Bidoof sat beside him, shaking its head. "Bee, bee," it cried. It tackled his leg, causing him to frown.

"Fine, hey. I'll give the Berries back. If you don't want them anymore..." Bidoof shook her head, indicating that Dan was crazy as well as the fact that she did not want any Berries. "Hey-ey-ey! There's those two from the lab!" Dan ran over to Calvin. "Hey, bro. Let's battle. Unless you wanna look bad in front of your girlfriend." Bidoof sighed and got ready to get beat up.

Camille grabbed Dan by his collar. "Let's get one thing straight, bub. I'm not his girlfriend, I'm his twin sister!" She pushed him away.

"What she said." Calvin said bluntly. "If you want a battle that badly, I'll oblige, but I warn you, our Pokemon were hand-raised."

"Yeah, yeah, sure," Dan said, rubbing his throat. "Alright, Bidoof, let's beat him!" Bidoof readied a Tackle attack while eyeing Calvin's one Poke Ball.

"Vulpix, battle stations!" Calvin said, throwing his Pokeball. An adorable-yet-tough-looking Vulpix came out, eyeballing Bidoof. "Ladies first." Calvin taunted.

Unaware that this was a taunt and assuming Calvin was just confused over what gender he was, Dan said, "Bidoof, Tackle!" Dan's Bidoof charged forward towards the Vulpix at a speed faster than expected of a heavy Bidoof. It leaped, planning to ram Vulpix's head with it's own.

"Quick Attack." Calvin said, snapping his fingers. Vulpix jumped over Bidoof's head, then turned and launched at it faster than the human could follow.

"Bidoof!" Dan winced as Vulpix gave Bidoof a strong headbutt in the rear. Bidoof seemed to be alright; she shook in off and retained a battle stance. "Bidoof, Growl!" Bidoof let out a low growl, trying to intimidate the opposing Fox Pokémon.

Vulpix shuddered a little, scowling at Bidoof. "Will-O-Wisp." Vulpix took in a deep breath, and breathed out a volley of blue fireballs.

"Alright, your foe's weak! Bidoof, use Dig attack!" The Plump Mouse Pokémon quickly dug below ground, with the flaming wisps perforating the ground above it. Bidoof felt for Vulpix's breathing, preparing it's strike from below.

"Hmm, Dig." Vulpix dug a hole as well, using the underground vibrations to find Bidoof.

"Alright, Bidoof! Tackle it!" Bidoof ran straight forward in its tunnel. Things looked good; underground, there weren't many ways Vulpix could avoid a full-body attack.

OOC: I have to leave in 10 minutes.

"Use Ember!" Vulpic shot a large Salvo of fire around it, superheating the ground around it.
