This came from nowhere. I was drawing Mightyena, and suddenly decided a super-cute pokémon beside her would be a nice contrast. ^^

Yes, I make crappy comics.

I'll touch this up later, but I wanted to post it because I actually drew it three months ago. My Ruby PC is Chiori, and I always make up little stories and plot twists for her as I play the game. This scene with her Ralts really happened to me, because, like Chiori, she's my favorite R/S pokémon, and I wanted her to love me right away.
 
I like how clean your artwork is, but it would be kind of nice if you did some backgrounds. Blank space is awful! But I like your ideas.
 
I know, and thanks for reinforcing me. Two things I will master before I even consider scanning a real comic are backgrounds and perspective. Fortunately, I have plenty of Chiori scenes with which to practice. ^.^

I agree with what VLK said about how clean your art is. Especially the linework - it's very tidy and smooth and constant. (I agree about the backgrounds, too, but you've already explained that *nod*)

Mawile and Ralts are very cute, as is the Plusle+Mightyena sketch. I especially like the second sketch, for the Mightyena's expression. ^^; She looks somewhat surprised to see the Plusle there.

The comic idea is neat - it's always fun to imagine what's really happening in the game, rather than just plodding along in the storyline. Ralts always seems like a hard Pokemon to show espressions with, since it's eyes are hidden... but the face and body-language really show that she's a bit defiant... and probably more than a little lonely.

Chiori has a neat design~ o_oa

I really like how clean and tidy yer stuff looks. My stuff is always scribbled and filled with erased marks and just, I won't even go there.

The comic is cool, too. *Pats the Ralts*

You're a great artist, Zukin, but there's something about your pictures of humans that bugs me, but I couldn't figure it out until just now, when I was looking at the 3/4 view of Chiori, and it's a simple thing that I used to do all the time - you draw the eyes too low on the face. I could tell because in that particular pose, it appeared that the eyes were where the cheeks were! Generally speaking, they should be about halfway between the top and the bottom of the head.

Other than that, I love the pics. That is a GREAT Mightyena! Something bothered me about the Plusle too, but then I figured out it wasn't your style, it was just that I hate Plusle. ^_^;;
 
.... y'know, Ket, I never realized that. No wonder my people come out slightly deformed. ^^

I'll have to practice that. I'm trying to "de-animefy" my style a little, and drawing big anime-style eyes is probably what screws up my proportions.

Everyone always points out my neat inking. ^^; What can I say, I'm obsessively clean. *looks at dirty monitor* Ack!

I'd love to see the first two coloured, they're really well drawn! Everything with the first picture looks good to me, you're good at drawing Ralts.

Second picture.. I think the Mightyena is utterly gorgeous. ^^ My only complaint with that is the fact that Mightyena's right hind leg seems just a little short. I actually think she's much cuter than the Plusle, but that's just me. ^^;

The comic is great! I love the way you've drawn the hair on your character - her nose looks a little big in the second panel, though. Your colouring is just lovely, but I think a little shading would make it perfect. The idea is clever - poor little Ralts! Oh, and your writing looks nice - clear and easy to read. ^^;[/color]

...and about the comic...I also like those types of things, like Kauri said, about what's really happening in the game, especially the Pokemons' relationships with their trainers. They made an effort to show that more in GSC, with that Goldenrod City lady who tells you how much your Pokemon like you, but it's kinda sad that you can't figure it out yourself. o_o; Oh well, it's a start, along with the "Nature" things in RS...I'm rambling...back on track now...I LUFF the art!! Poor Ralts...*huggles Ralts*

Ralts/Mawile: Aw! So kawaii! Color + Detail = Ultimate Kawaiiness! ^-^" Nice orignal poses as well. Reminds me of the sketch that Sammy made of Pikachu and Celebi.

Plusle/Mightyena: Way. Too. Cute. It's even cuter since you had Mightyena's tail down. I drew a pretty good Mightyena once in it's original pose and I was used to making it look feirce with the tail sticking up and everything. What berry is that? Cheri?

Comic: Now that is a nice start! Please continue it! I mean, it's no Chibi Kitties, but it's an excellent start and it makes me want to read more. The text is quite readable, but you could darken it just a bit.
