Or, alternately titled: "The BIGGEST reason why the anime can really suck sometimes".
I shall whine about the skipping over of my beloved Mikuri-sama. If you're on at PC, ya might have seen this already:
Now, if you've played Ru/Sa/Em, you *know* how incredibly important Wallace is to the game's plot, and the anime usually does not omit characters that are *that* significant in the game. I know, I know, Lance did the whole Groudon/Kyogre thing (stay in your OWN region and mind you OWN business, demmit! XD), but still, thus far the anime has never omitted the appearance of a Champion (although poor Steven only got one episode in which he did...not much...TT_TT), and since the anime is clearly going by the Emerald storyline, Wallace is the Hoenn Champion, so he kinda ought to show up, no? Unless the anime people are planning to have him do a Lance thing and show up in the D/P series, but even with Lance, they first had him show up in Johto first.
Wallace is involved with a crucial sequence of the save-the-world portion of the R/S/E storyline. In Emerald (anime's Emerald-based) you actually have to go into the CoO to find him and talk to him, and after he asks you a question (one of the few non-survey, non-interview questions in which you get to say more than "yes" or "no"), he hauls off to the Sky Pillar where he talks to you again, tells you to go get Rayquaza, then goes off again. And he's the one who tells you something about finding Steven after you beat him and the E4. Wallace is not merely another character for you to battle. And heck, Drake even got an episode. So Wallace definitely should.
*waits for people to proclaim the indignity of skipping Will, Karen, Sidney, Phoebe, etc.* Come on folks, RAISE YOUR VOICE IN PROTEST!
