Alternate theory. Skitty gets into Wailord's mouth, scratches open a blood vessel, rushes through the circulatory system into the Heart, clogging it, and causing it to explode.

Point Skitty.
 
Skitty(female) used Attract!Wailord tried to use Body Slam, but fell in love with Skitty!Instead of Skitty on Wailord, now its Wailord on Skitty!Skittyis now dead XO.Thats the story, OK?Now its finished.
 
Wailord, because Skitty (or Delcatty) doesn't fare well in battle. Not only that, the former would really squish the latter.
 
I thought that if the contest was "Diglett vs Wailord", then it will be odder and funnier, since Diglett is, on average, the smallest of the species, and is even in the same egg group as Wailord, and most important of all, it has equal gender chance (50% male, 50% female). Unfortunately, Skitty is more feminine, and the joke was stuck to this. Anyway, I chose Wailord because he is an awesome whale.

So will anybody else hate "Diglett vs. Wailord"? (Not me)
 
Wailord. I love it's design and coloring, and it's tank abilities.
