Skype Status

I've added my skype name to my account on the instant messaging part of my profile, however, I've noticed the icon always shows me as offline, whereas I've seen other users on the forums have a status such as online or do not disturb, why doesn't mine update to match my skype? Or do I have to do this manually? Thanks.
 
Oh. I saw zeb's was on do not disturb earlier though? Is this a feature being looked into, or will they always be showing offline?
 
I'm not entirely sure how it works, it might depend on your Skype settings. I have mine set so others can only message me if they're in my contacts, not sure if that has any effect on it. It might also be a vB thing, I can try to look and see.
