Sleep Style Discovery Week Part 2
The Sleep Style Discovery Week Part 2 event is designed to help Researchers fill out their Sleep Style Dex, giving them the extra boost needed to unlock new areas such as the upcoming Amber Canyon. This event will allow Researchers to participate and gain bonuses regardless of where they conduct their sleep research, with the following bonuses active throughout the event period:
- Researchers are more likely to encounter Pokémon in sleep styles that they haven’t discovered yet.
- This bonus can stack with the Good Sleep Day bonus for this event only.
- Researchers can encounter a few Pokémon of different sleep types regardless of their own sleep type for the day.
- Strength gains from dishes will be multiplied by ×1.25.
- This bonus is multiplicative with other bonuses, so Extra Tasty dishes will receive a ×2.5 total bonus through most of the week, and a ×3.75 total bonus on Sunday October 12th
- Researchers will have access to the limited-time Mini Candy Boost Function
- This event-limited function will give Pokémon 2× the effect from candies, at a cost of using 4× times the amount of Dream Shards per candy.
- Mini Candy Boost can be used with up to 50 candies per day.
- The daily rollover for the Sleep Style Discovery Week Part 2 event is at 4:00am local time.
- Event bonuses for this event apply regardless of which site players conduct their sleep research in.
- Event bonuses apply only for sleep tracking that begins within the event period, and do not apply to sleep tracking during the tutorial, or to sleep data tracked before the event, even if the researcher waits to review their sleep research after the event has started.
- Sleep data tracked during the event will receive event bonuses, regardless of if the researcher waits to review their sleep research until after the event has concluded
Amber Canyon will be added to the game from Thursday November 6th, at 3:00pm (UTC). This is the first new area to be added to the game since Old Gold Power Plant on October 2nd, 2024.
As of writing, few details have been formally released about this new area, and it's not clear what Team RP target the zone will have. Unlike with Old Gold Power Plant's announcement however, we do already have official word on the preferred Berry types. Snorlax in this area will prefer Chesto, Lum, and Yache Berries, which can be found by Poison, Bug, and Dragon-types respectively.
Researchers will need to have registered 450 total sleep styles to unlock this new area. While this is a full 110 types more than Old Gold Power Plant required, it's likely most long term players will have no issues unlocking the area on Day 1, though more recent players may be waiting a long time to get access.
