Not sure how to explain this. i noticed that the 'last post' section in the homepage or index of forum is not updating after someone made a new post in it. The sub forums are updating fine but the homepage will only update once in a while. Did this problem only happened on me?

I think so, I never had this problem. Try clearing your cache when it occurs again (by pressing CTRL+F5).

I think you may be dealing with the forum's refresh cycles--I know that, for instance, views only updates once every few minutes, not instantaneously. This reduces load on the server.
