From here:

Canadian researchers say they have discovered the smallest known North American dinosaur, a carnivore that roamed areas of the continent 75 million years ago and weighed less than most modern-day house cats.

Researchers say Hesperonychus, whose name means "western claw," was about 1.6 feet tall.

Hesperonychus elizabethae, a 4.4-pound (2-kilogram) creature with razor-like claws, ran through the swamps and forests of southeastern Alberta, Canada, during the late Cretaceous period, the researchers said.

The diminutive dinosaur likely hunted insects, small mammals and other prey, perhaps even baby dinosaurs, said Nick Longrich, a paleontology research associate in the University of Calgary's Department of Biological Sciences.

"It's basically a predator of small things," Longrich said.

It's sort of cute.

I read about it this morning myself. I found it interesting.

Didn't think that a carnivore dinosaur could be that small.

This is why we need to bring back dinosaurs. I want a pet dinosaur like that.

I want to compare it to my dog..its a pup, but can be very vicuous and snarl when it gets going. That is kinda like that dinosaur maybe.

Wild Hesperonychus appeared!
DCM threw pokeball!

do do do do!
Hesperonychus info will be added to the Pokedex
do you wish to nickname wild Hesperonychus?
Hesperonychus was sent to Bill's PC.

Why did the conceptual artist drew it with the same coloration as a fox? It looks kinda silly with that coloring...

Dude sweet! That thing is way cute. Instead of my dog going out and catching thives my Hesperonychus will go out and do it for me. But yeah a dinosaur with fur? Never heard of that.

The artist rendering makes it look like one of those inbetween species in evolution lines (which I'm guessing probably is or may be). Looks like a duck-chicken-weasel to me.

They did say that raptors were covered in feathers, so who knows?

It's rather cute. I doubt I'd try to keep one as a pet, though. (An angry cat is tough enough to deal with. I don't want to try and imagine dealing with an irritable dinosaur, no matter the size.)

Got a point there starun yoshi but hell i thin kits the first time we ever heard of this no? If so then we can possibly find even more species. And more and more and more! Sorry i just love science and new discoveries.

I want one!
It would be so...
adorabubble.
