Snorlax, no contest. It's a big freaking adorable fatty, amazing wall, and a great physical attacker.

Stantler has... antlers...

Snorlax wins for having that huge HP to take damage from any of Stantler's moves and retaliates with a move backed up by its good physical attack.

I don't really understand their connection, besides both of them being Normal types, but I'm going with Snorlax because he's actually memorable whereas Stantler...isn't.

It's an interesting matchup, that's for sure. If you use the ordinary video game battling as a base, I am not sure if Snorlax always come on top. One thing is that like Sawsbuck, Stantler got Jump Kick, which does good damage to Snorlax. Stantler also got Hypnosis to cast Sleep on Snorlax first, and it's also got Intimidate to cut Snorlax's Attack a bit. Still, Snorlax had the larger advantage, simply because its stats are one of the highest.

If you ask me who I would prefer, truthfully, I don't prefer anyone, but between those two, Snorlax would be my pick, since it is the more interestingly designed of the two.

I would automatically say Snorlax, had I not seen my brother firsthand being completely swept by a Stantler. Rudolph should never ever be underestimated.

However, I have always liked Snorlax. It's one of my favorite normal types, and has great overall stats barring speed. I think I'll go with the big panda.... thing.

Snorlax by a landslide.

Stantler's wannabe Psychic powers are kinda neat, but it doesn't have the stats to back them up.

Snorlax, meanwhile, is one of my favourite Pokemon of all; few Pokemon have such a high HP & attack stat combination, (The only one that comes close has Truant) and it can learn so many fun moves. How on Earth can it learn Psychic? The move might not be any good with Snorlax's poor Special Attack, (Post-Gen I anyway) but the thought alone makes it automatically awesome. I also can't think of a Pokemon that can use the incredibly fun Belly Drum as well.

Snorlax gets my vote because it's a scary bulky powerhouse in battle if used correctly. Stantler has it's good points too, but faced against Snorlax there is no competition in my eyes.

I've gotta say Snorlax, I've used one, and he did me good. I haven't used Stantler, but Snorlax left more of an impact on me.
