in fact yes i bought it on amazon... but it should have worked cos i worked for a day and now its saying save file is deleted

:bash::bash:

Yup, Amazon is where my brother bought his fauly FireRed. He got a full refund though, and they'll notify him as soon as they have it in stock again, so go complain =]

its ok guys i just get back to the league again no worries but im just so annoyed...

Happens to games you buy in shops sometimes, you know. Not just ones from the internet.

Sorry, just this happened to me with the same game. That's what I was told by everyone here, because most shops have the decency to sell working products. You're not guaranteed that over the net.

Maybe that happened because you bought it and it was a used game that's why I buy mine from places like Wal-Mart or Target

You'd assume that, but most shops don't care about whether their products work or not, is if said product gets sold.

Maybe so, but if you buy it from a shop you have someone to go back to and bitch at and probably end up getting your money back (and possibly more) because they are paid by the hour and just want you to go the fuck home.

my emerald game had a similar problem. I think i solved it in my case. I kept the game kinda on a soft static-y blanket. Keep your game away from anything static-y or with magnets. that may have been what happened to your game

its quite likely youve got a fake game. fakes are everywhere at the moment, they are hard to spot and when you load a d/p/pt game with a fake gba in the slot, the gba gets its save erased

ive had this problem before and there are a few tips i can pass on. firstly the circuit board of offical GBA carts have the nintendo copyright on them, look up at the card just above the gold contacts (pins). secondly in fakes there is often a gap in the plastic just above the contacts, where they have been made badly.

fakes often use whatever plastic they can get, so the color is often wrong. sapphire/ruby/emerald should be see through blue/red/green respectivly. firered/leafgreen sould be solid red/green respectivly. there are no official pokemon GBA games that use black/grey carts.

finally, if you are buying online, and you can get a boxed game with the official wifi adapter then the card that comes with it should be real, because afaik they havent released fake wifi adapters so far.

i dont have a gameboy console its DS mabye thats why....:-|

ITS NOT FAKE ITS A PERFECTLY NEW GAME!!

there is no need to shout (caps). thats pretty rude when im just trying to help.

fakes can look almost exactly like new games, boxed with shiney art and instruction manuals and everything. all i was suggesting was you check for those signs i mentioned because if it is fake, you can get all your money back because it is a) not as described *and* b) its not fit for purpose.

in fact most people i have bought fakes from are 100% convinced they have real copies, right up untill they look for the copyright symbol etc.
