So do you think Jessie is still going to the Grand Festival?

So a lot of time has passed, and its been a while since this particular DP plot-line has been picked up.

Do you still think Jessie has a chance of making it to the Grand Festival? Dawn now has 4 ribbons whereas Jessie only has 2. Likewise we're getting to the end of Sinnoh now, and the Galactic stuff should take up some time, along with the last Gym.

Do you think Jessie is still going to win 3 more ribbons, or do you think she'll get the next 2 but fail to get her final one?
 
As much as I'd wish her to get there, I really don't think that she would be able to get her 3rd or more ribbons anymore. If the writers would let her go to the GF, she would've got the 3rd ribbon already. It's been 25 episodes already since she got her second ribbon, and Hikari lacks only one anymore, so it seems pretty negative. Poor Musashi :D
 
It's been a while since she won her last ribbon so the odds seem pretty slim.
 
I don't think she will get them. Dawn' last ribbon, Ash's last gym battle and Galactic arc won't take more than 20-25 episodes.
 
At this rate, she's gonna struggle to get even the 2 needed to make her final showdown with Hikari worth watching :-( I love her, and I wish that she could go all the way, but no GF for Musashi this region as far as I can see.
 
I really hope so, since I seriously think this is the least Jessie deserves, but I'm not sure. I'm leaning more towards no, since it doesn't seem like they'll be able to fit in Jessie getting three ribbons in such a short time, but you never know. :/
 
I highly doubt Musashi/Jessie will get to the Pokemon Contest. Dawn already has at least two rivals- Nozomi/Zoey and Kengo/Kenny, and possibly Naoshi/Nando.
And even if there is the slight chance that she will actually participate, she does not have any pokemon that can bring forth the win. All of TR's pokemon can be defeated easily.
 
The biggest problem is the timing. The last contest will be between gym 7 and 8. That's in this time period. Before gym 8 they also have to sort out Ginga Dan, and various other minor points (which I listed, but have now forgotten :p). Hikari's last ribbon will be won in the very last contest before the GF because it's more exciting, so she won't win any after that anyway. The chances of another contest in which Hikari enters and doesn't win is extremely low. When exactly is she going to win 3 ribbons? We can't even have a Yosuga gym type contest-during-gym-battle because we probably don't have any before that last contest. Basically, she's screwed.
 
I'm going to be optimistic and say that it could go either way. They've brought up Musashi's ribbon status a lot lately, and I can't help but think they're going somewhere with it.

I actually wont mind too much if she doesn't make it. Going from a joke two regions in a row to making the Grand Festival? That's a bit of a jump. I have a good feeling she'll make it in Gen 5 land though.
 
I'd like to see Jessie get the ribbons and go to the Grand Festival rather than see Dawn do it I know I root more for the villans
 
If the ribbons don't really matter I could see Jessie using them and earning 3,2,1 (depending how many more she gets before the Sinnoh GF) ribbons and make it to the 4th Gen Battle Frontier Saga's Grand Festival. That was mouthful. If they can only be used towards the Sinnoh Grand Festival (as the Aqua Ribbon seems to imply, as it was a special ribbon) then I don't see Jessie going to a Grand Festival until the 5th gen like Rocket Girl said. At which time I would hope Jessie would get two ribbons before 5th gen girl gets one. So she can make it.
 
My big question is...why didn't the writers have her win the ribbon during Satoshi's most recent Gym Battle?

Like...a lot of us assumed that was going to happen but then it didn't. I would say they just forgot about it, but then Rocket Girl's point about them bringing it up a lot lately is true as well. So I dunno.

I think it was because of Meowth. I think Meowth said he had a plan to get them at the very end of DP 126 that they failingly attempted in DP127. Most likely because Ash was going to do his gym match and wouldn't interfere.

In that case the only plausible way Jessie could've gotten another ribbon was if Glameow's Shadow Claw (Was it Glameow who blasted Team Rocket off in DP126?) blasted Team Rocket to an Anime only town (near Snowpoint) and they were holding a contest, in which case Jessie would rather enter then going back to Snowpoint and stealing the school's Pokemon.

Of course the lack of Team Rocket in DP 128 and DP 129 could mean Jessie could enter a new contest. Of course it would be awkward to go from Paul battling Brandon one moment to Jessie winning a ribbon and back to Paul and Brandon. I Suppose they could cut to Jessie when one of Brandon or Paul's Pokemon have been knocked out but before they send out another one.
 
Considering there's only little time before the GF, Jessie getting 3 ribbons in a row is just too difficult IMO since there should be breaks between getting each ribbon. She might get 1-2 more ribbons, but as far I can see, that's all she is going to get.

I never thought she would get all 5 ribbons.
It would be a huge burn (but really in character) if Hikari thrashed her in the contest that both of them are supposed to get their 5th ribbon in.

That eliminates a rival for the GF, shows a VALID defeat (no, 3 second scenes do not count even though Hikari has defeated Musashi before), and would totally be in-Rocket to do so.
 
Oh yeah, totally forgot about Nyasu's promiseto win Musashi's next ribbon. But it probably will end in Nyasu losing to Hikari anyway. -_-

If Musashi wins her first ribbon pretty early in Johto BF, she will definitely get to the GF. Or atleast have the big fight for the fifth ribbon.
 
Nah, I don't think she will. Considering the pokémon she uses at contests she won't win. I also just don't think that she could.
