So does this mean Iris and Dento have no goals?

Fast pased, does that mean these guys won't have goals and they'll just deal with gyms like Kanto-Jhoto?
 
where was it stated that this next saga would be "fast paced". I'm very curious.

I hope its true; as much as I loved DP, I'd say that in general Shorter >>>> Longer, and if they'd given it a quicker pace then maybe they could have had an E4 or BF arc, or at the very least, a longer league.

I will be a bit dissapointed though if it turns out that neither Dento or Iris will have their own quest.
 
I thought they announced that Dento is doing musicals and Iris does Gym battles.

Maybe it was just a rumour :/

In the Pokemon anime however, people sometimes just own Pokemon as pets or protecters. Not to battle them. That would make her a noob. I think maybe it will be one of those things where Iris is a ranger or wants to be a dragon-master but the series doesn't really elaborate too much on it.

That has been fan speculation, but nothing has confirmed that information as far as I know. While seeing Iris doing Gym battles would be kind of interesting, it would be boring to see two trainers in the main cast battling Gym leaders since we would have to stay in the specific cities even longer, especially if one of them loses. Maybe she could challenge a Gym Leader once, similar to how Dawn did so, but then find her own goal.

After May and Dawn having their own battle-centric goals that they were actively reaching for during their runs, I'm pretty sure that Iris will have some kind of battle goal too. I'm not sure about Dento since he'll be the third wheel character, but he might be more battle active. Regarding Best Wishes having a faster pace, I thought that it meant that it just would be able to cover the storyline/plot of the series faster than DP did. Although I have enjoyed DP for the most part, even with the large gap between Ash's last two badges, I wouldn't mind if Best Wishes had a pace similar to AG. I don't know if that mean that they would finish the Isshu saga sooner and then go to another region before Generation VI starts, but that's obviously well too far ahead in the future to worry about.

We still don't know there goals or Serebii or another trust worthy site would have posted this news. I can see Dento doing those musical contests though, seem the type of character for those.
 
This probably wont happen for one simple reason.Considering how much writers have improved learning to handle lot of things better increasing roles of females there is no any reason to believe new girl Iris wil end up like Brock.
She might receive less than Dawn,with amount of screentime being more or less same as Mays,which i dont find being a problem.

Perthaps Iris wil have some sort of tasks to accomplish helping to resolve some situations not having any particular career she will pursue.

About Dento,there has ben some speculation of him doing musicals but there isnt any evidence pointing toward that.However im pretty sure he will receive more than Brock regardless of goal or not.

Is there anything wrong with that?Many people liked Misty and what she brought despite getting less focus than May or Dawn.

Also Misty had a goal(you know water pokemon master thing).It wasnt expanded on much,but it cant be ignored like it didnt existed.
 
In my opinion the most important thing is that she has a personality, and that she's interesting. She'll probably have a goal, the writers are the same as in DP so it should be okay. Dunno about Dento yet.
 
In game Dento loves musicals. I'm guessing he will have an interest in the show too.
Iris, I don't know. Maybe she just wants to get somewhere or do gym battles :)

Ah yes. His goal will be to watch as many West End and Broadway musicals as possible. But to be serious, Dento is a gym leader, so I wouldn't expect him competing in the Pokemon Musical.

I think he was torn from the choice of Gym leader and Musicals. Why not compete in them? Anyway its pretty obvious he drops his gym leader status when he follows Ash.
 
I totally wouldn't mind if Iris does gym battles, to break the whole Contests = For the Girl sidekicks stigma. I'm sure fast-paced means less filler. :V
