I made this thread out of curiosity/boredom. Basically, I wanted to know what you guys used to play your Game Boy Advance games.

Personally, I use my DS most of the time. The brighter screen really makes playing it on the standard GBA SP really unappealing. However, sometimes I'll just get sick of the DS' weight and switch over to the GBA SP (regular version). When I get some money, I might buy one of the newer GBA SP's.

If a game's really "epic" feeling (a game so big that it should be played on the big screen), I'll sometimes play it on the Game Boy Player. That's how I played a good portion of Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, the Metroid games, and is how I'm playing portions of Final Fantasy IV Advance.

So what about you guys?

What? No checkbox for emulators? Pfft.
I actually use my old GBA. If/when I get my hands on a DS Lite, I'll use that.

I usually use my DS now since it has the lighting unless I need my regular GBA for something, (like the link cable.)

I do have a Game Boy Player but I don't tend to use it any more.

I use my DS for primarily playing. But when I'm trading between Pokemon games I crank out the ol' GBA and GBASP and use them.

Personally, I still prefer my old school, 3 year old GBA. It still runs, feels comfortable in my slightly odd hands (the SP makes me claustrophobic), and the buttons on it have a nice give to them. As for a light, I have several very nice clip-on lights that work fine, and I know where you can buy rechargable battery packs.

I normally stick with a regular SP, since I find it the most comfortable to hold. And it's easier to shove in a pocket and carry around. :x

Though, if I know I'll be playing for a long period of time (for all those various RPGs and whatnot), I'll use the GBPlayer, instead. Less strain on the eyes that way, especially if the game turns out to be text-heavy...

My GBA, I'll eventually give it more use once Tales Of Phantasia and Mother 3 are out.

I have been playing my GBA games on my DS,but I still play them on my old GBA too.

I use my DS and my regular GBASP most of the time. But I also have a GBA (with Afterburner) and GB Player which I sometimes use, usually for multiplayer things.

I use only GBA SP. I still have my dear old GBA but SP is more comfortable.

GBASP, because of its light. There's a newer GBASP?

I've gotten into the habit of using my DS for my GBA games, but I'll use my GBA SP every now and then.

...emulator...

The newest Nintendo handheld I have is a Game Boy Pocket. :p

If I'm home I'll use my GBA player otherwise its the DS for me, although my plain old GBA is still fully functional.

I guess I'm the only special one with a Game Boy Micro.

Yes. It's essentially the same thing as a regular GBA SP, but its screen is now much much brighter. Like Nintendo DS/Game Boy Micro bright. IGN had some comparison screenshots, but I can't find them at the moment.

It really makes a difference in the ways the games look, and I must have it.

I play my GBA game on my DS. I also sometimes use my GBA Player. I haven't upgraded to an SP or Micro, so it's them or my Original GBA. (Which my eyes have become so spoiled, that I honestly cannot use it anymore unless directly near a fairly strong light source)
