Hey, I'm new. I've always loved Pokemon, but just recently got back into after giving up midway through Ruby/Saph and never playing Diamond/Pearl.
So to make it short... Me and my friend were having a lot of fun battling/trading while progressing through HG/SS, but one day shortly after beating the Elite Four he had a Venasaur/Blastoise/Charizard. I found out he was using an Action Replay to cheat, so I told him I never want to talk about Pokemon with him again. I also told him I will never link up with him again for any reason, because I do not want to poison my game. Every time he brings up something about Pokemon I just make some smart comment about how he's not a real Pokemon Trainer, lol. I never had a more satisfying experience playing games in 15 years than when I "collected 'em all" in the Pokemon Red version. Cheating would just take all the fun/challenge out of playing the game for me.
Is it wrong that I lose all respect for him as Pokemon Player because he was cheating to catch/level up pokemon?
