So what about other animals in the Pokemon world besides Pokemon

(oops this should probably go on Pokemon World....oh well)
I find it interesting whenever the anime and its characters make reference to animals other than pokemon. Although the only one ive ever saw was a worm in a pidgey's mouth, and the fish in the background during the sunken SS Anne episode. However, there are other references such as some of the movie intros, Pf Birch's discussions, and even when Ash and Misty talked about "insects" when they got stuck on the first orange island.

Does anyone know anything about non-pokemon creatures in the pokemon world?
 
We had a thread like this i think a while back in the Pokemon World section. There was the cow reference in the caterpie episode, and they had some magazine scan with a dog in it.
 
The dex in the games makes a lot of references to real-world animals. Like wasn't there a recent one that said it could knock out an elephant?

And in the card comics, there's a real-world cat in one of the stories.
 
I don't have a link and i don't really have the time to find it.
 
and i've always wondered where do the people get their meat products from....hopefully its not from Pokemon lol

Farfetch'd is supposedly a delicacy. And people do drink Miltank milk. I seem to remember something about Chansey eggs too.

Most of their meats are probably variations of Tofu, and such. I honestly can't imagine a main character eating a Taurosburger, or a Zigzagoondog.
