So since A Venipede Stampede!, we haven't seen Pierce at all in the English or Japanese versions.

This may not be a big deal to some, but consider this. Dr. Zager and Giovanni's Secretary still appeared after the postponement of BW23/24 but Pierce has not.

So I think this means one of three options:
1. Pierce was working for Team Plasma this whole time.
2. Pierce got kidnapped of God forbid, killed.
3. He's still in Team Rocket but also disapproves of Jessie, James and Meowth like Giovanni apparantely has too.

In any way, it makes me sad this character wasn't developed more and hopefully we haven't seen the last of him.
 
Point one would be cool if Flint had gotten more than five minutes of screentime as a Rocket-Dan member. Any "betrayal" would mean nothing since we know next to nothing about the guy.
 
As funny as Chosen Of Mana's explanation is, I kinda hope he died. Followed in Hunter J's footsteps. The Pokemon anime needs to grow up. If The Simspsons can get away with saying "bitching", "penis" and "ballsack" in the show, and then showing Bart's penis in the movie, I'm sure Pokemon can get away with a few more deaths.
 
He quit as a Rocket-dan member and went on to film a movie called The Room.

(Yeah I remember who he is, but he was so insignificant I doubt there's any reason for him to return now, or his absence to be explained).

Because killing off characters for the sake of making a show more "mature" is always a good idea. Unless there's a really good reason, story-wise, for him to be dead, he shouldn't be. And I'm pretty sure Pokemon has a lower target age than the Simpsons.

Considering the destruction that likely took place in BW023 and BW024, I wouldn't doubt that at least one person died. And Pierce is a member of TR (or potential double agent for TP), so it makes sense for him to be involved. He hasn't been seen since the preview for the unaired episodes, so it is a logical conclusion.

This, I like. Except the speedo part.
 
After the Team Plasma episodes were delayed (or should we say, cancelled, since they STILL HAVEN'T FREAKING AIRED YET AFTER 9 MONTHS) and Giovanni went "missing", Pierce went into hiding in a foreign country, changed his identity, had facial surgery, died his hair a different color, and then cut his hair so that nobody on Earth would find him.

Mega Man knows where he is, too bad he's still trapped on the moon thanks to Capcom cancelling Mega Man Legends 3, Princess Luna has a way to get people to the moon so we could ask him, but nobody knows Luna's current whereabouts (she was last seen on Halloween night in Ponyville), so yeah...
 
Wherever he is, I hope he comes back with a good explanation of what Team Rocket is trying to do. Seriously, BW001 made Team Rocket so confusing to me. Pierce disappearing inexplicably only made it worse.
 
Maybe he realized that the Rocket trio aren't hs friends, and that nobody liked him? So he quit Team Rocket and ran home, crying his poor little eyes out.
