...I can't get one due to my current financial status, but I hope to be able to get one by the end of the week. Was anyone here lucky enough to snag one today?

I checked Target, Best Buy, and Circuit City and they were all sold out. I've also only seen the Wiimote, the nunchuk and Retro controllers are sold out too.

I did pick up Zelda though, Target only had 5 left so I made sure to get it. Now I have Zelda but I can't play it....yay. :/

I wonder how long this thread has until it degrades into puns and awful jokes?

Well, now that I've said that, not long at all. ^^

I don't plan on getting one at least until the first price drop. Hopefully that's before summer 2007. How long does it usually take for one to happen for a new system?

I wiily wanted to wiiceive one today, me and my parents searched wiilentlessly, but to no avail.

I'm being patient and waiting 'til my birthday on the 8th. Though I actually won't get it until the Monday after thanks to a business trip. Bugger. But I don't have the money anyway, so it's all good.

I like totally try to get one at my local Toy's R Us, but they are like totally sold out. ;-;

*waits until December to get one.*

How much are the accessories (extra Wii Remote, Nunchuck attachment, Classic Controller, etc.)?

At Circuit City in Fort Lauderdale, the Nunchuck is $19.99; the Wii Remote is $39.99. At Target, the classic controller is $19.99.

Three weeks to go... :D

Anyone attend any midnight launches? The store I pre-ordered with hasn't confirmed if they'll be doing a midnight launch, but if so - I'm there.

If not, i'm there at 9am saturday morning on teh dot.

I wanted to pre-order one but the amazon.de Wii pre-order didn't start until 11 am even though the newsletter said that one should visit the website early on that day. I was at school when it started. I heard from Filb that it was sold out after only 40 minutes. He was lucky enough to be at home when the pre-order started. So I might go to a store on December 8 and see if I can get one. But that won't be possible until 1 pm because of school.

I was also thinking about getting a Japanese Wii for Battle Revolution but the customs fees would be horribly high. I hope there will be something like a Freeloader for Wii.

I can afford it right now, but I don't have a job that pays very much, so I'm trying to conserve money. I might as well just finish my GameCube, DS, and GBA games before I start on a new console.

My brother stayed at the local Wal Mart for the midnight launch; we've gotten Zelda and so far it's a very good game. Too bad I have the flu though, I wish I could fully enjoy it.

You definitely know you're a Computer Science major when you see your professors waiting in line with you in the Games section of Wal-Mart.

All the Wii's were sold out...I hope they get more befor X-mas.

This was the first time I've seen lines for new systems...0.o
