SOCKPUPPET MAFIA: Distressed Partygoers vs Evil Monsters
based on an idea by Mijzelffan.

Halloween means costume parties, but this year's masquerade hides a deadly secret. Amongst the costumed partygoers, real monsters have invaded the dancefloor and they're hungry for something a little more filling than the celery sticks at the buffet table.
As the partygoers tried to leave, they quickly realized that all the doors and windows were shut tight, it was a trap. They only had one choice left, find and fight the monsters hiding among them. But with everyone in disguise, how would they be able to recognize human from creature of the night? Luckily, their costume come with some perks that might push back the forces of darkness.
Welcome to Sockpuppet Mafia. The premise is simple: town, using their logic skills and deduction, eliminates the mafia.
However, there is a major twist.
During Halloween, people dress in costumes. Adapting this to the forum, you shall play under sockpuppets! The premise of a sockpuppet mafia is to play mafia under a sockpuppet account.
SOCKING RULES - READ THIS BEFORE POSTING
For this thread and this thread only, you may post HERE with your main account to sign up for the game.
When you are CONFIRMED in the game, please make an entirely new sockpuppet and link it to your main account.
*If you get a mention from the OP, that means that you are confirmed in this game. Not role confirmations.
Please PM the hosts on their main accounts with the name and user profiles of your socks. When this process is completed for all 25 players, THEN AND ONLY THEN roles will be sent out.
Once the game thread is up, you will only post there under your sockpuppet account. DO NOT POST IN THE GAME THREAD WITH YOUR MAIN ACCOUNT.

Quick tutorial for the newbs - credit to Rayne
In mafia there are two opposing sides, the town and the mafia. The town are usually unaware of each other while the mafia work together to covertly kill the town. It is up to the town to work to take down the mafia before the mafia outnumbers them.
If the town eradicates all mafia members, the town wins. If the mafia outnumbers the town, the mafia wins.
Every day phase, all members are allowed to vote a person to lynch. At the end of the day, the person with the most votes is ‘killed’ or removed from play. In the event of a tie, no players are killed. After this, we enter night phase. During the night, mafia choose who they kill. Some innocents have a role that allows them night actions as well. Standard roles include the Doctor which protects people from dying, and the Cop which is able to determine alliances. These are very valuable members for the innocents. Please use your night actions wisely. Sometimes using them have consequences. Sometimes your roles work better if used with other roles.
Communicate well, and you stand a better chance of winning. This goes for both sides.

- REVEALING YOUR TRUE IDENTITY Due to this being a sockpuppet mafia, revealing your real username will not be allowed here.
- POOR SPORTSMANSHIP. Do not be rude to players or the host. It’s a game.
- CLAIMING/HINTING BASED ON YOUR ROLE’S NAME. No name claiming. You may claim actions. You may not claim names.
- REVEALING YOUR ROLE PM. Enough said. If this happens, you will be removed. You may NOT screencap your role PM.
- FAKING A ROLE PM. Do not try it.
- INACTIVITY. Five days will be the limit between posts. After the fourth day, you shall receive a prod. Failure to respond within that time frame results in either a substitution or modkilling.
- POSTING AFTER DEATH, INFORMATIVE STYLE. You are allowed one death post in your sockpuppet account. After that, no more.
#3. Rules regarding PRIVATE CONVERSATIONS
Feel free to share copies of private messages (OTHER THAN ROLE PMs) however you want, via PMs, QTs, or in the public thread. You can take screenshots if you wish.
About faking IMs/PM conversations, make use of your abilities to create a fake screenshot of a personal message if you want to.
You can even fake ours if you wish. Editing what you actually received and sharing it, making up one completely, etc. However, we will not assist.
Be aware that all consequences are yours. Don’t trust information hastily. We will appreciate if you tell us what’s fake. Also, obvious is obvious, but we don't recommend to the mafia players that they share their QuickTopic.
#4. Outside communication will be allowed in this game.
Therefore, we want copies of all PMs and private conversations in this game. Be sure to put in the recipient box Mintaka, Parmalee and Wolverine so that all of us get the PM.
If you make a QuickTopic, please give all of us the link, and REMEMBER TO POST THERE UNDER YOUR SOCKPUPPET'S NAME, NOT YOUR REGULAR USERNAME . If you use a name other than your sockpuppet's username, tell us what name you’re using in the QT. If you’re using IM, please send us logs of the conversation. The same goes for Skype, AIM and any means of outside conversations.
