Some CG Poképics...

Well I know I said on my other thread that I don't often do CG art as I prefer traditional mediums, but every now and then I actually feel like whipping something up in Photoshop (it's a heckuva lot faster for one thing, and I don't have to worry about my broken scanner for another). Anyway, I have four Pokémon-related CG pics that I figured I may as well post, so, uhm, yeah--here they are. =p

Mako the Weezing (these pokémon are all named for my own that I have on my Crystal game, btw)

Bender the Magnemite, who's never quite all there...

Stanley the Arbok, who is not only named after my pet snake, but has the exact same personality as well (read: wimpy, laid-back philosophical doof. So much for my 'big tough mean-looking boa constrictor'... )

And the bonus pic, an original character being her snotty vampish self. :-D Those gloves are based exactly on a pair that I own myself, btw.

*sigh* Converting these files to jpgs really did a number on them, and especially the Weezing and Magnemite pics. Please try to forgive that horrible 'staticiness' (don't think I spelled that right) in places...

Heheh, thanks! Like I said I just wish the .jpgs would've turned out better... the pics looked good as .bmps but I figured they were too big that way...

And if you think that Stanley's cute, you ought to see my real snake that he's based on. Ah what the heck--here ya go. That's only his baby pic though, from when I first got him... back then he used to fit in one of my hands, and now he's longer than I am tall.

They are all really cute, especially the Arbok. I like the coloring jobs. Sadly enough, I can't think of much criticism.

Great pictrures. Not much of critism to give here they're just good.

Mako is a really friendly Weezing, have only seen few of that kind so far, Bender has e really original pose, I like that, and Stanley's doing it's best to remove the evil-snake mark of Arbok, he's so cute and friendly :-D And your character looks great, their's a lot of personality in that picture. Great work!

*sniffles* Yeah, while I really hate to admit it I guess I love him too, and even despite the fact that he likes practicing his own RL-version of 'Wrap Attack' on me sometimes...

Ehm, unless that is you meant the pic of Stanley the Arbok, in which case, thanks! ^^; I guess I like the pose I came up with for that one, even though Bender probably has the best coloring job (but that might be because it's the most recent of the four). I'm usually a little self-conscious of my CG pics since I don't have as much control drawing them and I'm never sure if they would have turned out better had I done them by hand, but I guess if VLK can't think of any constructive critisism to give, I must be doing something right. *^_^*

Oh my goodness! Those are truly amazing, especially Stanley the Arbok. It's so cute it makes me want to glomp it! The colors, the pose, the shading and those thick lines give your CG pics a unique style! Really good! I hope to see more of your artwork. You're a great artist GS!

And, I went ahead and edited the links in my original post, since I think I improved that bad .jpg quality of my pictures that I'd been moaining about earlier. Turns out all I had to do was save them as .jpgs via Photoshop (in a higher file quality) as opposed to PhotoDeluxe. They're a bit larger in file size now but look a whole lot cleaner, crisper, and just generally better IMO.

Those are so good!! I can't believe this, (I didn't notice the scratches) The pokemon are as good as Gamefreak's pictures. >_<;; I'm jealous now and must learn how to do CG art! I love those pictures especially magnimite, the shading is tops!:-D (Ugg, what "Shading is tops" is suppose to mean ^_^;
