I've never seen this mentioned before, so here goes. In the new generation, I'd like to see some expansion on the concept of shinies.
When I first read about shinies, I thought it was an awesome idea. But as time's gone on, something's really started to nag at me. Why is every shiny of a given species the same colour?
There are a lot of shiny sprites that are nigh-indistinguishable from regular sprites, like Garchomp. Then there are those that are just ugly. For my part, I hate Nidoqueen and Miltank's shiny sprites, even though I love both of these Pokemon.
What I'd like to see is the introduction of more shiny varieties. Maybe make shinies a little easier to come by, but give each species multiple variants. So while it would be easier to acquire a shiny, it would be more difficult to get a shiny of the specific colour that you wanted.
So... that's my idea. It's really unlikely to be implemented, given that shinies are only barely acknowledged within the games themselves, but I'd be interested to know what anyone else thinks.
