This is probably going to be the last thread I create for awhile. Since I have gotten a few messages from administrators about not posting a thread that is already up or try not to post up a bunch of threads at one time I decided to do something different. I have a few thoughts that I wanted to address on the series so I’ll put them in this one thread to not create a lot of spam for the website. Most of these questions are probably going to revolve around the DP series. This is open for anyone to place their input here it goes:

• Did Cyrus know that Ash was the one making trouble on Iron Island?
In the episode where Ash and his friends help Riley fight TG on Iron Island, Mars makes a call to headquarters about interference and Cyrus then grunts “It’s him…” when he says that I was wondering whether or not he knew that it was Ash causing the trouble. Because as soon as it says this, the screen jumps right back to Ash sliding down the cliff to destroy the machine creating the disruption to all of the Steel-types. Do any of you think that he knew that it was Ash? I would say that he knew of Riley being on the island as its guardian, but I really don’t think that it is a factor it’s just so unclear but my number one candidate is Ash.

• Will Buizel get a rematch against Lucian?
Re-watching some of the first season of DP, I saw many signs of foreshadowing that actually came true in the later seasons. I think that Buizel needs more attention than it has been getting lately. I am mostly referring to “An Elite Meet and Greet!” Lucian makes several signs of him and Ash fighting it out at the league (if Ash challenges the Elite 4). Though by the way the Sinnoh League is being rushed and the next season is around the corner things aren’t looking so well for Ash fighting the Elite 4. Especially since he and Paul will not be facing each other in the finals. Lucian says that he and Ash will have their battle once he had obtained his goal, and also that he wants to face Buizel again in battle (though he was referring to Dawn and Buizel). It would make sense if they did considering this time Buizel is with a trainer that understands its battle style. Think about how Ash’s meeting with all of the Elite 4 have taught him valuable lessons about battling and being a trainer. If he did face them in combat he would be better than he was when he battled and lost to Flint and Bertha. So, do you think that Buizel will get that rematch with Lucian? If he does I think that it will have evolved during that match with him to show that it has learned a lot since it has been on Ash’s team.

• Do you think that Barry would make a good addition to Ash’s traveling companions?
To me I think that he would definitely make an improvement to Ash’s squad. One thing’s for sure with him around there will never be a dull episode. He could probably make the most boring filler episodes seem exciting. The #1 reason I want him along on the journey is: he never lets TR finish their motto!!!! I love each episode with him in it because he always does what I want Ash and the group to do, but they only do it on rare occasion: tell TR to shut it because he had already heard that junk before. I laughed so hard when he did that to them on Iron Island. Also, there was the one episode before the end of DP-Galactic Battles where his Empoleon and everyone else’s Pokemon were separated because of TR, and before that he didn’t even want to stop to take pictures (the photographers were TR in disguise). If Ash and the others didn’t take it easy they would have never had to go through that. Then what ticked me off about Ash is when Barry tells him that it is his fault because if they had not have been fooled into taking that pictures it never would have happened and Ash yells at him for it. Anyway, Barry and Ash would definitely clash over everything like TR encounters, which one of them gets to face the gym leader first, who gets to catch the wild Pokemon and etc. It would also make for a reason to let Brock leave so we can get a third character in the group with some actual contribution to the story. Would you say he would make a good traveling buddy?

• If Paul came to the new region would it be a bad thing?
Since the two rivals are about to engage in their biggest battle yet their rivalry is coming to a head. It’s obvious that the winner is going to be Ash which is just sad…It was mentioned that Paul told Ash that he would be using his strongest Pokemon in the league and after judging the preview of his battle with Barry it seems he was not bluffing (wouldn’t be surprised if he had an Aggron now). After their match, Paul may see things different and all. I think it is DP 186 when they battle so it’s probably obvious that Reggie is going to be on the scene and I think that Cynthia is going to say a few words to them both either before or after the match.

There has been an obvious change in Paul since his battle with Brandon, and it is pretty obvious that he will do the same after the match with Ash. Though I hope they don’t completely strip him of everything to make him another dull rival. If anything he should go to the next region because the next rival in the new region has huge shoes to fill. I mean their rivalry is based off of training styles and what better way to settle that rivalry than start fresh in a new adventure. Really Chimchar is the main subject of the Ash and Paul rivalry in my opinion, so why not start their rivalry anew based on epic battles every now and again rather than focus on a Pokemon with uncontrollable Blaze (though it can control it now)?

• Does the new theme song predict the possible battles Ash will have in the league as well as the Sinnoh Elite 4?
The BF theme song had me thinking that Brock would have a Tyranitar and that Pidgeot would come back to Ash, but boy was I wrong! Since then I learned not to pay much attention to the things placed during the opening credits, but now it seems that it may actually be telling us upcoming battles. Infernape vs. Entei/Buizel vs. Darkai/Pikachu vs. Lucario, at least one of the battles look plausible since there is a Darkai trainer in the league. Let’s just say that there is a possibility of it being Lucian’s he did want that rematch with Buizel and guess what…the opening credits show Buizel vs. Darkai! If this is true Flint with a legendary Fire-type could be true, and Cynthia in the games has a Lucario. I know that this is likely not the case, but I found it interesting by comparing some facts from the show.

• Why not do a series along with the current one running so we can see the adventures of someone besides Ash?
Since Ash and Pikachu’s storyline at this point is getting pretty dull and predictable, there should be like another Chronicles in the making. It wouldn’t hurt to show the adventures of May, Max, and others. Also, instead of plugging in the debuts of HG/SS characters into the main series, they could use that in the Chronicles series as well like they did in The Legend of Thunder. There are so many things that could be done to improve the series in the eyes of the viewers like myself that have been watching it for years, and have gotten fed up with certain things that make the series too predictable. It’s like Ash’s storyline has gotten a bit dull and out of date to me. They should spice it up a bit by introducing us to need characters, evil villains, TR members that actually pose a threat and other things like that.

• What kind of villains (besides TR) will be in the new region?
Come on, this go round we had a group of people looking to destroy the world in order to create new world order. These villains actually succeeded (well at least Cyrus go what he wanted) in accomplishing their goal. TR is just making money and doing unseen business under the leadership of Giovanni. I think if the series ever did come to an end, Giovanni will be the major villain because I think he has something planned even greater than Mewtwo. When you think about it there is a possibility considering he wanted to know the plans of Team Aqua/Magma (never shown to show interest in TG). Aqua and Magma had their own opposing views of reshaping the world for the benefit of Pokemon and people, and TG had selfish desires. Really it was Cyrus’ ability to be like a “Hitler” with new world order and saying the right things to manipulate the weak of mind. Look at how Jupiter said that she didn’t care if she was destroyed as long as TG’s plans came to pass. Now, with the legend of Time/Space and the beginning of all Pokemon, how in the world do the writers plan to follow that up with the next generation of villains?
