Some of you may notice that I added some new tekst to my sig. And there's someting I wanted to say about it.
First of all, the disclamer: the text is a translation of a song sung by Boudewijn de Groot (try to pronounce that, eh), a dutch singer, but if I putted in the Dutch tekst, only a few people would understand the meaning, and that's just not what I wanted.
What I wanted with this is:
- to express my feelings about the whole Iraque thing, and esspecially my pacifistic feelings.
- To let my sig play in with the situation, I tended to do that before, not on this forum, but I used to have all christmas like siggies a few months ago.
- To give people something to think about :-D
- To share the lyrics of one of the best protest singers with others.
The song itself is accutually pretty old, it was made during the Vietman war, but my friends, parent and I all agree that is nowadays highly actual (I'd save you from the picture of my mother and me acctually singing this song out loud, and we aren't the best singers
)
Some people might think there's some character bashing in those lines. I hope that heryby I explained that I'm just using lyrics, who when things come to it, aren't about Bush at all (altough they apply to him as well) If anyone in charge here still can't live with this, please notify me, and I'll change it into something less harsh. Don't worry, I've still got plenty of other lines, it's a pretty long song
