Something I've noticed about the technical issues.

In IRC chat, Demonic_Aura told me she could get on the forums/chat just fine in Safari, but other stuff didn't work. I opened it in IE (my usual browser is Firefox) and this is what I found:

*I can get on the main page, logged out, just fine.
*If I log in, I get the database error.
*However, from my last database error, I clicked "back" and managed to end up on the homepage, logged in (probably because I ticked off "remember me".) I clicked Garden Grotto and somehow it worked.

From my understanding and talking to the #bulbagarden chatters, the site works somewhat on Safari and IE, with certain links still error'd, and not at all on Firefox and Opera.

Hope this helps a little.

The blogs also seemed to work perfectly fine, except when posting. I didn't log out and log back in, and was actually logged in to begin with. I've actually seen something like this happen again at another board. Had something to due with buggy/corrupted opcode caching code only found in certain pages.

This isn't likely an opcode caching bug, but there definitely is buggy code, and it definitely is only on certain pages (hence explaining why some pages work and some pages don't). If the above is true too, it has something to do with the cookie made from being logged in or some other switch that triggers when logged in. At least it isn't as bizarre as certain messages in topics being able to avert the problem on the board I've seen it on before.

Using Opera, by the way.

Another thing! Using Firefox I can get on by going through the Bulbapedia link. It brings you to the Bulbapedia Gen. Forum and by using the Forum Jumper at the bottom of any page, you can get to just about any sub-forum. However, thread viewing is still off... =/

I'm on Firefox and have never had any issues getting on anything.
