Something weird on the GTS

I was on the GTS, and I had deposited a Lv.22 Male Hippopotas on it. However, when I went to check on it, the picture of it was a Sandslash and it said it was holding a Sacred Ash. I took it out, and it was normal again. Then, I re-deposited it, and when I checked it, it was that Sacred Ash-Sandslash again. But, when I left the GTS and went back in to check on it again, it was a normal Hippopotas again. What might be happening, and why did that Sacred Ash-Sandslash appear anyway?
 
did you name the hippopotas sandslash? I think it's a kind of bug in the GTS that when you for instance name a pidgy "Spinda", a spinda image will appear (I'm not sure though)
 
Yeah, that's happen to me too. It's a harmless glitch, just ignore it.
 
I once put something up, I think it was a Farfetch'd, and when I checked it right away it said it was a Vileplume holding a Town Map. But then I checked again later and it was back to being what it was supposed to be.
 
Its known to happen. I had one of my Pokemon turn into a Houndour with a Dawn Stone.
 
Thank you for the feedback on that. And, I didn't name the Hippopotas Sandslash.
