So the whole High School English class, they make you write. So I guess I'll post it for you tomake fun if it enjoy. So here is the first batch of stuff from this semester and last.
Poems first.
Now these barely count as poetry, but here it is.
Letter:
This is the fourth time today,
I don’t care how many
Excuses you make,
I will now tolerate
Yet another blue screen.
Not to mention that constant buzzing;
Not unlike a bee
Nor a tone deaf person playing a kazoo.
You might try to say
That your organs aren’t working
Or that I am abusive,
With all the grumbling
I do all day.
Saying you are afraid of pets,
Won’t get you anywhere
As they are only fish.
So I’ve had it,
You’re through.
Pack your bags,
You have to be gone by Friday.

Yeah, formatting is terrible. It looks better in Word and when printed out. Just kinda ignore that for the moment.
So yeah. I guess if I have more school writing stuff I can post them here. Enjoy, I guess?

Freshman year is reluctant
With not wanting to fail,
Especially English,
The year becomes stressful.
But one learns many things
From how to take apart a computer
And put it back together
To build props in a play,
Then one goes and wins a district competition.
But not state.
There are also the more
Interesting parts of the school,
Bits like the social hierarchy,
But also making many new friends.
And when you think it is impossible
To find others as geeky as you
The unexpected happens,
And you find those people.
But freshman year was exciting
And I have survived it
Now to see if
I can survive
Three more years…

A desktop is like summer
Its life is long
But a laptop is like winter
Its life is short
The desktop is like a lion
Powerful and strong
Though a laptop is like a house-cat
Its power unknown
Desktops are like the color red
Bold and strong
While laptops are like blue
Gentle and king
A desktop is like nylon
Very durable
While a laptop is like cotton
Very soft
Lastly a desktop is like Russia
Large and unending
But a laptop is like Vatican City
Small, but still powerful
Its life is long

My life is a watermelon
Hard on the outside as a watermelon is
But then soft after you get past that layer
Sweet to some
But sour to others
Some watermelons have tough parts inside
Just like life in certain aspects
But others do not
Those are the parts that one knows what to do with
Watermelons are green on the outside
Just like my youth
But red once you get past that layer
This shows strength in character
It is messy when you get inside
Just as my mind is
Hard on the outside as a watermelon is
But then soft after you get past that layer

Which would you be, if you could choose to be
Any Pokémon in the whole entire world?
Would you pick Squirtle? Or maybe Combee?
Or you could explode out like a Loudred.
What about some old favorites, like Machamp
Or maybe others like Charizard. Perhaps
You would be a dragon, like Garchomp
Or cold and dark like Sneasel. Or mayhaps
You would be flying like Tropius. What
About a mystical ghost, Gengar, or one
As hard as rock, maybe Onix, or Wynaut
For the psychics. Or as stronger than none,
Klefki as the fairy. But none more than the
Rodent, Pikachu. So which would you be?

Background:
We were supposed to write an epilogue to The Odyssey with our own new monster etc. So here it is.
Odysseus and the Soulmaster
After the return from my twenty year journey I found myself tired, longing for an adventure to
come my way. Nothing happened for five years, I watched my son fall in love, and get married,
as well as seeing their first child, my first grandchild. A lovely baby boy; may the boy's father
not be like me and always be there for him. But five years since my return home to Ithaca, I got
this strange feeling. It was like a creature got into my head and was controlling my thoughts. I
began exhibiting strange behavioral patterns, I couldn't eat nor sleep, and wanted to go out to
sea again, something I had avoided ever since that fateful journey. One day, about a month since
the sensations started, I could no longer endure it; so I set out with a crew of a dozen of my best
men and sailors, to where whatever it was leading me to. We sailed for forty days and forty
nights, but we finally came to the island. Once there, I could not control my own actions, let
alone those of my men. They took to fighting amongst themselves. Out of the twelve men, only
one survived, and that man took the ship and left to forever sail the seven seas. I was all alone,
and it seemed like no one else was on the island. But I was drawn to the center of the isle,
where I found a large cave. Going into the cave, I found this, lizard creature, I believe they are
called “dragons,” at least that is what the creature said. As I walked up to it, it started to
mumble, in some type of accent, I believe it was a Anglo-Saxon accent. The creature was saying
“Odysseus, how I have longed to meet you. Word has reached my ears of your exploits, and of
the dangers you have faced. I have heard of your victories in the Trojan War, and of your
journey back to Ithaca, how the lord Poseidon cursed you and made you travel for ten more
years. Oh how the times have changed, you were once young and spry, but now you are aging.
But you are not the only one growing old, I too am reaching the end of my life. So for my end, I
wish to battle the greatest hero in all of world, and that is you, Odysseus.” At this he allowed me
to draw my sword and shield, and thus it began. He gave me control of my mind back, but only
enough for me to fight coherently. He feinted, and then I feinted, he feinted, and I feinted. We
went back and forth for hours, just like the ocean and her tides, locked in constant battle with
the land, or like the sun and moon, whenever one makes a successful attack, the other is there to
snatch away its victory. As I began to tire, he gave me energy like a lion gives energy to its prey,
in the form of pure terror. For the entire battle I was ever praying to the great goddess Athena.
Over and over again I was thinking “Oh Athena, protect me, your child, allow me to return
home to my wife and son, and grandson. Help me to slay this monstrous beast, and for a ship to
then come and take me home to Ithaca before the year is up. If you do this for me, I will forever
be in your debt. Once I get home I will rebuild your temple, ten times more extravagant than it
currently is, and maybe even name a city after you. As long as help me win this battle, I will do
anything you ask of me, and more that you don't ask of me.” This I prayed over and over again,
until I was positive she heard me. At that point in time, I felt the control of the Soulmaster slip
away and I felt my entire mind again. When I felt my mind again, I had a noticeably greater
advantage. Enough so, that I could fairly easily outsmart the creature, and outmaneuver it. Not
half an hour had passed when I had stabbed it in its heart and was holding the Soulmaster's head
in my hands. But my struggles weren't over yet, I still had to make it home. Since my ship
was stolen by one of my men, who was under the influence of the Soulmaster, I had no way of getting back home.
So I made a makeshift raft and made my way over to the nearest other
island, when that one had no population, I went to the next, and the next, and the next. After
seventeen islands I found one that was inhabited. Thenceforth I made diplomatic pleas, and I
was given use of a ship. There I made my way back to Ithaca, and completed everything I told
Athena I would. I met my wife and son again, and we rejoiced as my son's wife was pregnant
again.
