Souls
“Man himself is a shell, a vessel from which the soul leads.”
We often ask ourselves ‘who am I’, but a better question would be ‘who can I be’. We are given so many opportunities to create better lives for ourselves, and yet we so often ignore them. We’d rather accept where we are in life than embrace the possibilities. Some of us do take those chances to take a new destiny, but we usually get more then we ask for. The only thing worse is when we don’t get to choose.
Some people are born different. We’re something else. Humans, but more. We hear a calling in our heart, one that draws us to our destiny. It tugs at us. We feel empty, out of place, alone. It’s a hole in our being, one that we cannot leave unfilled, so we pursue it with all our might. This only makes it worse when some fall short. A new voice enters their mind one that changes them. It pulls them away from the world, and corrupts them.
Give me a moment and I’ll explain better. Our soul that thing that makes up you real being you thoughts and emotions are more like two souls. Our own and another. The second is that guiding voice. It also is its own being. One that had its own life and now has been sent to help us. Throughout history there were great men and women. They changed their worlds for the better. They are immortalized for it, and not just figuratively. They become these spirits, and come back with people who hold great potential. Along with that are the terrible people who destroyed the world. They are immortalized for the wrongs they did. The worst of them are held back by the by best of the good. Still on earth there are good and evil always at war. If you hear that voice in your heart then listens to it, and follow it to the ends of the earth.
Basically mythical heroes and villains from throughout time come back and act as guiding mentors for present day people. You get to make up the historic person.
The RP will be set in Harker City (fake place) on the east coast of the US. It has a past as a major steel foundry and factory town, but its gotten more population over the years. Why you're there? Well that’s up to you.
Rules: (I'll admit this is my first Mature RP that I am GMing, but I still know where to draw the line)
Violence: I want to see you being creative with how you are tearing each other apart. I expect gore, I expect excessive force, and I expect (especially the villains) to want that violence.
Romance: I generally don't get too many characters who are different genders and are willing to start romantic relationships, but if I do I'd be fine with seeing them go all the way, but since the RP centers on the battle between good and evil I'd prefer you keep it in your pants most of the time, and when you can't hold it in anymore find a room.
Ethics: This is obviously good and evil so there are a lot of people with low moral standards. Don't go wasting your best stuff just because you can. If you just swear all the time it means almost nothing during important times.
Generic: then of course you have all the common rules of RPing. godmodding, bunnying, etc.

Name: Isaac Kane
Cover name: Krimson Nomad.
Age: 17
Gender: male.
Appearance:
Background: Isaac is one of those inner city kids who didn’t belong in the inner city. He was smart and he had lots of potential. The only the thing that could have held him back was money. It wasn’t his fault he came from some bad stock. Isaac forced himself through school getting through high school before most of the people his age from the neighborhood made it to middle school.
When his dad got himself in a tight spot Isaac just left. He had already discovered his powers, but he decided that his father needed to learn the costs of his actions. Tyler neither condoned or condemned Isaac’s actions. He was more focused on teaching Isaac what to do. Even with Isaac only being in his early teens Tyler went straight to work training him. First they moved west away from the population centers so they could train in peace. He started with teaching Isaac about machines and mechanics. He caught on fast with that since he was rather smart. The Battle skills and electric powers were a bit more of a challenge. They just weren’t something normal, so Isaac had a hard time trying to understand it. With the amount of training Isaac got in non-real life scenarios he got some good skills. He never has gotten to test his powers in the real world though. Tyler doesn’t want Isaac rushing into the dangers that lie before him.
When Isaac headed to Harker City he found it very similar to his old home. The big city was truly going to test him though. He got an apartment nearer to the nicer part of town, and pays for it using some money he earned back while he was training. Nothing too fancy. Isaac just sold some quick machines and stuff to people who could use some help.
Personality: Isaac is a quiet and collected person. He keeps mostly to himself, but having a voice in his head makes it so he can never really be alone. For where he came from Isaac is a really good person, but he’s got a serious judgment complex. With the power he’s been given Isaac feels like he needs to make big decisions about the way things turn out. Things like his father learning a lesson.
When in combat Isaac obvious is normally a ranged fighter, so he stays back out of the brawl. Unlike other snipers Isaac doesn’t go for kill shots the majority of times. He goes for disabling shots either just so he doesn’t kill someone or so he can kill them face to face. Isaac tries to not get cocky, but if he is fighting someone who is way below his level he might get a bit cocky. He is rather stealthy, but no where near a master. He can easily get into a sniper position and sneak around, but if anyone was really looking for him he’d probably get spotted.
Alignment: good
Soul: Tyler Dike
Power set: A couple of different groupings for power style. Marksmen (ranged weapon master), Mechanist (science)
Additional power style: electricity and plasma. (don’t forget electricity and plasma are HOT!)
Equipment:
Sniper rifle of his own design, rapid fire and little recoil.
Magna gloves: by running an electric current through magnets in the glove they are super charged letting Nomad attach to any metal (that is magnetic of course). If charged enough Isaac can electrocute anyone he touches.
Spark shooter: Isaac’s side arm. A medium range plasma gun with a moderate rate of fire.
Skill set:
Bolt shot: Isaac negatively charges his bullets. Upon impact with their target a bolt of lightning strikes near by them or on them. He can also give the bullets a lower charge and just shock the target.
Magna distortion: Isaac super charges metal objects nearby to change the magnetic field around him. It is stronger or weaker based on how much metal Isaac charges. Using the Magna gloves alone Isaac can deflect low power guns and metal melee weapons. He can make the magnetic field attract or push away metal objects. He tends to make the gloves repulse and traps that pull metal. The field dissipates over time.
Static Strike: Electricity arcs off of Isaac’s arms and forms two perfect blades. They are Isaac’s main method of close combat. They can easily cut or burn through almost anything. (think of Bisharp’s blades for appearance, but made of electricity).
ULT: Krimson Lightning Tempest: Isaac alters the charge of all the things around him and electricity arcs between them. It also starts a massive low pressure system pulling in a storm. During the tempest Isaac is the only one who is not hindered by the storm and runs around attacking his foes with his Static Strike. All of his other powers are supercharged as well.
Weak points: Isaac can’t use his electric powers if he is emotionally troubled, but oddly only when he is sad. Anger can sometimes enhance his powers, but makes them more sporadic. They are easily controlled when Isaac is calm.
The electric powers are dangerous to use in water, but they don’t endanger Isaac. Being a good guy he can’t take the risk of hurting others though.
Isaac has two fears: claustrophobia and a fear of extremely low temperatures/freezing (he really hates the cold).
History: Tyler Dike was a master gunsmith in Britain during the American revolution. Surprisingly Tyler backed the colonists, and sabotaged British troops before they headed over to the Americas. He was never caught for those actions, and enlisted with the British to get a free ride over. As soon as they made to the colonies Tyler destroyed the ship, and joined with the rebels. He also never supplied the colonists with his guns. He found them not only too deadly, but no one seemed capable of using them. He made it all the way to the end of the war. By then he was only in his mid thirties. He continued to help the Americas by providing a defense from remaining British. Including a surprise attack from British controlled Canada.
Personality & Style: Tyler was quite the rebel in his day, but he mellowed with age. He slowed down and perfected his style. Back then guns were used to mow down big groups of guys all in an open field. Meanwhile Tyler pioneered sniping and long range gun combat. He also ignored the common rules of engagement. He was focused more on doing what was needed rather then just killing as many people as possible.
