Do you think the new games are forshadowing that the gang willl revisit johto. why would they remake johto if it has nothing to do with the amine, that would just be bad buisness.

explain and post your thoughts
 
They're advertising it by putting notch-eared Pichu and random Johto starters in the 12th movie.

Outside of that, they haven't done anything else to promote it. They're still concentrating on Sinnoh and a potential Elite 4 storyline afterward.

They're not supposed to do anything else at this point; the movies are the main promoting tool as far as upcoming games are concerned. In fact, all of the signs pointing Ash in Sinnoh's direction came after Movie 9 had already premiered.
 
Yeah... I too don't really forsee them doing another Johto arc after the Sinnoh League is over. And won't be surprised if movie 12 really is it for promoting HGSS. If Ash wins, then it'll probably be an Elite 4 challenge afterwards. But whatever the arc after Sinnoh League is.. they'll probably fill it up with 2nd gen pokemon appearances to further promote HGSS.

Why do you insist to be ridiculous after you yourself admitted E4 won't be longer than 10 eps? they'll have to fill about a year or two so a BF saga is VERY likely
And no, they won't stuck on one island since this way Ash would be able to jump from brain to brain and end the saga after 20 eps... not to mention Dawn won't have anything to do (again. stop saying stuff about the Ribbon Society or whatever it's called - Dawn won't stay in this certain place the whole time while Ash travel in the island -_- and there's so much you can do in one building on one island...)

There's nothing bad in that - only good might come out of this since there's a chance to "fix" some of the past mistakes you love to complain about
 
I wouldn't bother with Scott, he lives in his own anime fantasy universe.
 
I think the return to Johto is almost sure now, but I also hope writers will bring something new for upcoming Johto saga then Battle Frontier. Seeing this once were funny change from Gyms, but seeing the same thing again, I don't know… I hope they'll bring something new in these upcoming dames.

Well I'll wait till its officially confirmed. I do think we'll still be in Sinnoh till early 2010 based on the new titles.

In any case you're right, a return to Johto would of course be better controlled.

I can see it now. May says hi to Dawn as she heads out to Sinnoh to do Contests there, and Dawn heads to Johto to do Contests there.

Really, they need to have some thing ulse for them do besides the same thing.

I'm curious if they do change the name, would they try to pass it off as a new series and restart the episode count again?

They kept Battle Frontier under the AG label last time and just continued from there, but if they actually revamp it to "Heart and Soul" I actually wonder if we're in for another revamp.

I'd also rather not see Dawn replaced by the new GS girl. I'm sure Dawn will be around for more than just one region. I'll be disappointed if she's dropped already. :/
 
I doubt Hikari will go till Gen 5. They're not going to replace her for the 1-2 years it takes to fill Shinnou and the next region.
