A little comedy before I begin...ahem...


Honestly, it's ridiculous now.

SOVA pretty much has failed and I think their ideas that they actually have "frightened" PUSA is just laughable.

On one end of the spectrum, we've got the nice SOVA member. The problem is, the only thing they really accomplish is giving eahc other hugs and making speeches that ultimately help with nothing. And making cute little avatars, banners, and music videos is pretty much just to appease to members and not actually affect the suits they need to affect.

And then, you've got the crazed SOVA members (mainly not here), that pretty much seem to exist to whine about pretty much everything in the new dub, act like they're the true fanbase, and of course turn everything anyone from PUSA or Taj says into horrible stuff, and act like anyone against PUSA and Taj is high and mighty. The whole thing with Larry...yeah, you'd think we're dealing with rapist and murderers rather then a children cartoon company. Frankly I think some SOVA members are worse then any Anti-4kids person I've ever seen, but justify it as saying it's their duty or something like that. Not too mention they now think PUSA has spies and stuff. The fact you consider Larry, whoever the hell that is, evil because he adjust his schedule for his own purpose (no duh!) is pretty much like pointless witch hunting to me.

And not watching the episodes...HELLO! You're not even factioned into the ratings as it is, so watching them on torrents so you can look to rip open to shreds any slip-up or bad lines to put them in a negative light and decrease ratings is basically like going to PUSA and yelling "I'm watching episodes illegally! HAHAHAHA!" It really doesn't do anything for you, accept now PUSA actually have a legal reason to sue you. And I seriously doubt boycotting the advertisements will do anything. Do you guys buy Bratz dolls, go to Chuck E' Cheeses, or even touch most of what they advertise? I highly doubt it, and I doubt the companys really care.

As for Cartoon Network, they get good ratings. That's why they advertise it so much. That is not, believe it or not, a secret agenda of PUSA. It's Cartoon Network whoring out their high rating shows, which companies do. That's what Kids WB did, and that's what most channels do. I doubt CN even cares about the VA switch, as juding by ratings not too many people do.

So you can continue to write letters expressing reasons that the new VA's suck while continuing to remember how flawless the old VA's were, and you can make alot of T-Shirts, posters, buttons, and stickers you can hand out to each other, but honestly I think you've pretty much gone off the deep end, and unless you can prove that PUSA is actually somehow on the verge of getting the old VA's back, aside from your claims they're "afraid" of you, I honestly think you'll isolate yourself from the fanbase even moreso now. I mean, it's almost been a year and their not breaking. And no, I don't think PUSA is afraid of noodles.

Seriously.

Yeah. This isn't SOVA anymore. It's BBOVA.

But BBOVA is never going to happen. These guys are wanking over nothing. SOVA lots its sense.

But it still doesn't change the fact that PUSA's songs suck.

Also I really haven't payed much attention to dub threads lately (just downloading the Japanese episodes and going about my business), but has there really been much crap concening the old and new voice actors? Because I don't think there has. ._.

Though I'm sorry, I can't lie. The whole spy thing does seem weird. This isn't like a government issue or anything.

I think that's because you shouldn't express it. Ever heard of the saying, "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all"?

Sorry to butt in but that's gotta be the worst counter-argument I've heard on a forum specifically. That's basically saying you can't correct someone by scolding them and pointing out their flaws because you are afraid they will cry.
 
He's not correcting anyone. He's just ranting on about how much he hates SOVA.
 
I didn't see the word hate specifically though in that rant. I just see criticism.
 
It's indicated indirectly. Regardless, I don't believe that the anime forum is the proper place for a rant.
 
I always thought SOVA was ridiculus. There's nothing you can do about it, folks. Actually, I like some of the new voices better. I can watch an episode now without wanting to beat the crap out of Ash everytime he said "Gym battle!" or "Thunderbolt'em!". I HATE how his voice got at the end of the original voice actors' carrers.

That said, the British soap The Eastenders was cancelled on BBC America a few years ago. A website popped up called Save The Eastenders, and they created a massive uproar about it. They sent so many e-mails, extra extra extra large pairs of underware, and insults to the head of BBCA, that they allowed Dish Network to air it on pay per view.

But, I can't see Pokemon causing that kind of uproar, even with the attack.
 
Ignoring the provocative posts, I would like to request that someone close, delete, or HoS this thread. This bullshit is totally unnecessary. The provokers are only trying to stir up trouble for SOVA members.
 
I think SOVA needs to actually attempt to defend itself and its actions instead of simply whining whenever someone criticizes it because the criticisms are certainly reasonable.
 
Agreed with my esteemed colleagues. This is, while perhaps a bit pointedly worded, certainly valid criticism in essence; it may lead to a flame war, but that'll be due to the fault of SOVA people coming in here and going berserk when someone attacks their viewpoint. This, in and of itself, is not flaming. It could be politer, yes, but the thread will stay . People flaming will be given infractions. Bans may be issued. But not because of what Habanuke posted; it will be the content of replies which earns such penalties. Of course, if Habanuke flames in a reply, the consequences will be equal. But the initial post is legit.
 
Very well then. However, I don't see what good it will do, as it will just end up causing more chaos.
 
I'm not going to pick apart Habanuke's rant, nor will I claim to speak for all of SOVA, but I will say something.

Everything that we've heard about this either contradicts itself depending on who is speaking or is found by someone who heard from someone who talked to a third person (in other words, a game of "Telephone") If somebody who actually knew what they were talking about and had legit credentials to back it came here and explained it, then I would throw in the towel. But if the information is obtained from telephone tag or makes a mess of contradictions, there's enough reasonable doubt, at least for me, to go on.

Also I would like to say that the top-rank SOVA members, who are all based on this forum, do not under ANY circumstances endorse or associate with the insanity of people on the SPP forums. We also disassociate ourselves with any threats or such aimed at PUSA---all of our efforts are completely, 100% legit and involve absolutely zero in the way of such rot.
