Special vs Basic Energy...

Well, we all know about the Special/Basic split of Darkness and Metal Energy. After 7 years as a Special Energy card that you could only have four of, we finally got the ability to play Darkness and Metal Pokémon as we played the other seven types.

But I just thought of this today. If Darkness and Metal can become basic, then the other six Basic Energy cards can become Special one day, right? The question is... what would they do?

Psh. I'm gonna make a point to respond to every thread here, regardless of how stupid and pointless they may be. Just kidding, TTE.

Interesting question. Here are some theories:

Water: Provides 2 energy instead of one?
Fire: Reattach after discarded by effects?
Grass: Reduces damage done by the opposition by 10?
Fighting: Attacks do 10 moar damage?
Psychic: Warp Point effect; can be used once per turn?
Lightning: 10 damage to 1 opponent's Pokémon when attached?

Just some theories that seem to fit the type. Any questions?
