I understand that certain pages on the 'Pedia are protected to avoid people spamming about speculation and duplicate information for Gen V and I assume that the Archives are locked for the same reason but I was wondering if it would be possible to unlock some of these features for users who have been good editors for a long time and who should be trusted to know not to speculate on pages... or at least understand the serious consequences they could incur by screwing up.

We have a rank for those types of people... it's called Junior Admins.

Nope, that's Bulbanews, the Library & Content, and the Roleplay District. Sorry.

I'm also trying to upload a picture of an experience point graph onto the Archives, but that's no good either.

According to the 2010 Staff Recruitment Drive thread, the Roleplay District also accepts them year round.

I wasn't here for it, but I did read it.

They're planning to set up the Library again, according to this post. If that does happen, you can bet I'll pounce on the opportunity. :p
 
I know for a fact that the RPG stuff doesn't (*waves* Hi. RPG Head = Me.), but I'm pretty sure the L&C head doesn't want anymore applications for now.
 
Bulbanews doesn't accept applications... if you want to be a writer you have to write for it and if you want to write a column you have to start out by writing a column. If you ask we'll help you out (like some of our newer columnists) but we don't award powers based on an application saying "can I be staff?"

...I could have sworn I told Archaic to take that out of the notice when we were hiring.

In other news, anyone wanna help write for Bulbanews? D:

Who is the L&C head, anyway? It didn't appear on the recruitment post - it just said "???".

I'm pretty sure Archaic doesn't want the L&C head being revealed quite yet for some reason or another.

Given that editing is currently unlocked, then we have talk pages for a reason. If anyone thinks that they deserve the privilege of being a Junior Admin then they need to show they deserve it. If you're seen as consistently being a good nut, then you've got a chance. Otherwise, you'll probably get incinerated or something.

I have no problem with editing Bulbapedia, but the Archives are locked and I want to upload a chart of experience versus level cubed.

I've been a good nut, haven't I? :naughty:
