SPR2010 Pichu wfc release???

I just started Pokemon Pearl again, was bored and wanted something to play while I waited on HG SS. So, just for kicks, I decided to go and check the mystery gift function over the WFC. To my surprise, I was gifted a Pikachu colored pichu with the OT of SPR2010 instead of GAMESTP. Now, when I tried my other games that already recieved the GAMESTP pichu, they said the gift was already recieved, so it does count as the same.

What is going on? Was there another release that bulbapedia missed? Or, is this a mis-distribution?

Anyways, if you missed the pichu release or was not near a gamestop, just log onto the wifi, check through the WFC and you should recieve Pikachu colored pichu.

I can accept the fact that you can't download the WiFi one if you already have the GameStop one, but I think it's garbage that you can't download it straight to HG/SS. WTH is the point?

To who? Yourself? Because that's what's gonna happen about 95% of the time with these FE Pokemon. If I have to download Celebi to my Pt game cart, just to send it over to my SS cart, I'm gonna be pissed. =/
