Just a quick announcement to tell you guys that the Writer's Workshop Spring Awards 2012 are about to begin!

The rules are going to be the same as the Winter Awards. If you don't remember, or weren't here, essentially it is that the awards are going to be user nominated and then decided by a panel of judges. Users will have the opportunity to join the judging panel.

Nominations will open on the 1st May, so get reading, and good luck!
 
Oh, awesome. I missed the last awards, so this will be my first time participating. :D
 
Cool, cool. I was wondering when these were going to start up again.

I really do need to get some reading in.
 
So do I, actually. I don't think I'll be able to read enough to nominate, but I certainly will participate in the voting.

Spring Awards? I wasn't here for the Winter awards, so it'll be cool to see if I get anything.

I guess that means I better get a few more chapters up for my fic and work on getting my secret project posted. I figure if I post it maybe 1-2 weeks prior to May 1, I can get enough views and comments to get it nominated, as I am putting a lot of work into it anyways. It'll be great if my fic gets nominated too, and of course it'll be the best if I even get any awards! :)

Oh, what the hell am I rambling about? Good luck to all my fellow writers out there!
 
Heh, I'm kinda hoping one of my fics gets nominated too, actually, so don't worry, Red. You're not alone in that lol. I don't usually get any of these kinds of awards though, so I'm not expecting much. xP

EDIT: Oh, and it's impossible for you to post anything two weeks before May 1 lol. That day is only about a week away. XD
 
ohhh that means i gotta finish up my story and update it to make it new and shiny for the nomination day :D

Already? Wow, time sure flew by. In all this time I barely posted anything DX

Heh, I didn't have anything going on during the time of last awards. Hopefully, I can win something this time.
 
Blast, then I won't have my fic in time for the Spring Awards. Oh, well, I'll beat y'all at the summer awards 8)

Well I guess I'll lose another one. Been a few weeks since I've updated, and no one remembers something they read weeks ago.

Unless, you know, someone were to remember that I do happen to have three fics in current circulation. Wink.

I tell you, the amount of masked desperation in this thread is hilarious. We all want to be nominated. Yes. I think that's very clear.

Anyways, I've been keeping a spread sheet of fics I think deserve a nomination and possible contenders for best antagonist, protagonist etc. That way fics that haven't been updated for weeks can still have a crack at the gold.

Please remember, as we all bear down to write our own fics, let's all make sure to be courteous to each other and take some time to read each other's fics.

Remember, there is an award/badge for the Best Reviewer, so there is incentive to offer opinions and feedback to others.

Just something to keep in mind as we get into that competitive mindset.

I'll go ahead and read some stories, maybe I find potential candidates for the awards! :p
