Sprite uploads: Wrong MIME type error

Today, I've encountered a strange issue on the Archives: When I tried to upload a new version of Raichu's Crystal sprites (animated .gif files), I got an error saying that files with MIME type "Application/x-php" aren't allowed, even though the files I'm trying to upload are ordinary .gifs just as all the others I've added so far.
I could upload other .gif files, such as Sandshrew's, without problems, so I've no idea what's going on. It seems as though Raichu's sprites are the only ones affected. Any ideas?
