SS/HG easier than GS?

I've noticed several small changes that make the game a bit easier. for instance, the Kimono girl. there used to be 1 for every "eveelution" and you had to beat them all to get the HM for surf. In SS/HG, you have to beat a single rocket member who is harassing her. Anyone else take notice of these changes?

YOu still beat them all later on though.
HGSS is harder, but not by much. Unlike GSC, bosses use more heal items, but that's about the only real difference. Red is still easy as before, even though his levels are higher.

HG/SS as well as D/P/Pt just make things easier. It seems every new Generation keeps getting easier and easier.

Everyone thinks their tough because they beat HG/SS or whichever recent Pokemon game. In reality, there's nothing like Gen I versions that really are tough as nails.

Not only that, not alot of people are willing to take the Nuzlocke challenge. As for me, as soon as I find my Blue Version, its on!

-Red is not a Pokemon, so he couldnt be at level 80.

-Whitney's Miltank has always been tough since G/S/C.

-Mouthwash is ONE word. It is a compound word made up of two words put together.

What cracks me up is how easy the new Gen games are with how obvious statements are made. Like the Galactic Grunt who is waiting in Pastoria City. He literally tells you not to follow him. Knowing me, I would have followed in his direction anyway, but to say that to the player, as if the player isnt smart enough to catch the idea? Come on.

Red isn't 80, but all of his pokemon are
Lance at his rematch has Lvl 70 pokemon
you have to grind up at least 10 levels to have a chance against RED
or use ALOT of revives

The same struggle is in G/S/C. Higher levels of Ash's Pokemon do not make the game harder, it just makes HIM more difficult.

What team did you use against Ash or Lance or just in general throughout the game, if you dont mind me asking?

Nidoking, Ninetails, Poliwraith, Pidgiot, Wobbuffet, Umbreon, Why?

Hmm...I was anticipating a mixed team with Gen III or IV. But nevermind. I gotta say that I do not agree with how available Pokemon from other regions are, especially the legendaries in HG/SS.

Starting tonight on my Red Version. It's time for some pain.

I was waiting for you to announce it! Hahaha. Good luck man.

Every game is easy with legendarys
thats like
"Gen 3 was so easy cause i got *legendary* before the E4"
same can be applied to all gens aside from 1

and i'll do Nuz soon as i beat ruby again

Gen IV had its own set of legendaries exclusive to its own region. I couldnt catch anybody else from another region.

HG/SS can catch the legendary bird trio, Mewtwo, which DOES not make sense at all, and Dialga/Palkia. WTF? Too easy.

Oh yes. I can't even bring myself to play any Gen 1 game, and that's one of the reasons.

It's a good think I like grass starters, too, because if I chose that damn charmander like everyone else, Brock would have kicked my sorry ass.

You get Dialga/Palkia/giratina at lvl one if you have an event arceus
With the arceus required to get one, you coulda just gone through with that

and you could catch mewtwo in the origonal GSC, it makes perfect sense here

I honestly think you shouldn't count legendarys in this, even against AI, legendarys are cheap

Mewtwo is not available in G/S/C. Cerulean Cave is closed off with no entrance whatsoever.

what? all these years i thought you could get him in GSC, that magazine lied to me

either way, my other points still remain

It was worse in GSC. The E4 didn't upgrade after beating Kanto back then. Hell of a lot of grinding if you didn't know how to use/abuse certain things.

I am finding the remakes to be both harder and easier for some reason. Falkner surprised me with Roost, and Bugsy tore the crap out of me. But then I had absolutely no problems all the way until Brock. Of all the people to have problems with, Brock. Yes, trainers/Gyms/etc. are higher levels, but that just means more experience points.

Also, Dusk Balls as soon as you finish off Chuck in Cianwood. Best PokeBall invented since Ultra Balls. The others depend on such specific conditions. Apricots are now beyond abundant. I've only had the game two-ish months, and I've max'd out all the Apricot balls.

Plus the Safari Zone for crazy dudes. Had a Larvitar up and running by the time I fought Jasmine. Not to mention, depending on how patient/lucky you are before fighting Kanto Gyms, you can use swarms, SZ, and other things to get specific dudes to rip apart Kanto.

Legendaries I understand though. Even if you had multi-gen games, being able to only need two DSes or a friend, and Plat, and just one of the remakes lets you get nearly all of the Pokes, and Legends. But, for being easier, you can get all Kanto Birds, Johto Dogs, Lugia, and Ho-oh, with possible Palkia, Dialga, Giratina (I think) before the upgraded E4. Gives the player a lot to draw from.

There's other things that I'll probably think of 2 minutes from now...

I can honestly say it has presented me a challenge, and I was a rabid veteran of the originals. I knew them in and out. But I can't use my tricks the same way. Natures and better AI have changed the game up.

I don't have a problem with the "availability" of legendaries. I'd be kinda pissed if my efforts to catch the legendaries in D went to waste because I now play SS.

Well in HGSS, the legends were easy, raikou took 3 quick balls and entei took for and latios about 10! Back in Platinum, Darkrai took 32 Duck Balls and it was night time!
