I tried looking up the VAs for the Pokemon characters in Smash Bros and couldn't find them anywhere. An oversight or am I just not looking hard enough? And I swear I hear Lucario speaking in both English AND Japanese sometimes--am I not hearing it right or did they mess up?

I check gamefaqs and got this:

Jigglypuff(English): Rachael Lillis
Lucario (Japanese): Daisuke Namikawa
Lucario (English): Sean Schemmel

Bill Rogers (the voice of Brock and tons of other Pokemon) was the voice of Lucario in Smash Bros. Brawl.

A quick peek at the IMDB page confirms it.

Interestingly enough, here's a quote from Bill himself in regards to voicing Lucario from Serebii:

Bill Rogers said:
Lucario has been established in the US with a specific sound that you can hear in Movie 8, the Super Smash Bros game, and a very brief appearance at the beginning of Movie 10. Because of this, he needed to be dubbed, even though in these episodes he doesn't really speak.
I'm glad everyone liked my work on his grunts and growls. I paid close attention to the Japanese performance and then used the US tone for his voice. Lucario is one of my favorite Pokemon and I hope I have done right by the fans. Just like with Smash Bros, this one was a nightmare on the vocal cords, but I am very happy with the final outcome of his voice and hope you are too.

...but I thought the dude who voiced Goku did Lucario. Was that Bill Rogers too?

Nah i check, nowhere did it say that Bill Rogers voiced Lucario. Sean Schemmel did Lucario in the movie and in Brawl. he also voiced Cyrus, and other voices as well

I knew it! So either Bill Rogers is a liar, or someone on Serebii is just pretending to be him...

Sean Schemmel did not do any voices in Brawl. Lucario in Brawl was voiced by Bill Rogers, as has every Lucario appearance since movie 8.

No, I think Sean did both movie 8 and Brawl and Bill did the animé ones. If you listen closely you can spot the difference...

I'd like to just say that posting the quote from Serebii was not meant to be anything other than a small glimpse into the dubbing of Lucario from Bill Roger's P.O.V. and it should not be mistaken for anything more. IMDB and most other credential sites should be enough for confirmation on roles.

I remember that the Smash Wiki had Sean Schemmel down as Lucario's VA in Brawl in the past. Provided it's in the trivia section now since the comment is more along the lines of how people made joking analogies about Goku and the Lucario in Brawl, since his Final Smash is similar to the Kamehameha, and I don't notice a comment about how Schemmel is the one voicing Lucario in Brawl, it's more like stating that he voiced the one in the movie. But even then I was skeptical for the most part about who voiced Lucario in Brawl.

Will somebody please just watch the credits in Brawl so we can end this argument!

I am trying...

Well those are lame credits. They don't even list who voices who.

Regardless, Bill Rogers is listed as a VA, so it's most likely Bill.

Incidentally, I found no listing of "Sean Schemmel" in the VA credits.

Ha, that didn't help at all I guess...
