Stan Berenstain Dead at 82

Wow. I have to admit, I'm a little surpised that this guy's still alive. But Stan Berenstain, auther of the Berenstain Bears stories has died.

I loved the books as a kid, and it's sad to see him go. Oddly enough, I can still remember hearing that Dr. Seuss had died. Sad days for children's literature.

I used to love reading his books. And I'm still upset by the relatively sudden death of Paula Danzinger, one of my favorite (adolescent) authors a couple of years ago.

Meh, I could make my own "books" and make it look anime-influenced.
That was quite a shock.
Also a coincidence because right now, I'm on a forum of a childhood favorite book series (it's the Baby-Sitters Club fyi)
