These are pretty interesting bird pokemon both are offensive pokemon that rarely use special moves they both primarily rely on their speed to get ahead & destroy their opponents quickly.

Pigeot is a much better defender than attacker thought it does'nt have any defensive moves. It is the slower weaker of the two pokemon but it has slightly better defence & much better special defence.It also has a mediocre movepool apart from learning featherdance & Mirror Move.

Staraptor is the faster stronger of the two but it's lowish defences compared to pigeot. It has a major attack boost compared to pigeot & it has the slight speed boost. It has a resonable movepool with access to Close Combat, Brave Bird & Endeavor.

They both have access to similar TM's & basically the same tutoring moves apart from uproar(pigeot) & Endeavor (staraptor)

Who has better design?

Who would win in a fight?

Who would help you achieve your pokemon dream?

I think Staraptor would poop all over pigeot

I can't really decide, but Pidgeot. I have always liked those crest feathers.

Depends on what do you mean with that, though Staraptor will help you better in-game. In competitive as well. But if I were to write a fanfiction I might have used Pidgeot over Staraptor simply for it's aesthetics.

Better design: Staraptor (it has hawk traits, which is cool)

Who would win in a fight: Staraptor (better Attack and Speed)

More useful: Staraptor (because it has Close Combat to deal with Rocks and Steels)

I prefer Staraptor in all three categories, but mainly in it's competitive battling ability.

I like them both, but Staraptor is better. Intimidate is good for battling :)

Anyway, I'm glad the idea has taken. Go ahead and steal it away, I don't mind.

As for me, I have to say that Staraptor is better in every aspect to Pidgeot, even defensively. Intimidate goes a long way into balancing out their stats.

Regardless, I think Pidgeot looks a lot cooler than Staraptor, so I'm going to go with the minority here and choose the original bird.

Yeah, Staraptor is better in every aspect of battle, then Pidgeot.
But personally, I chose Pidgeot for old time sakes and how many times it saved me.

They're are still both powerful birds.

Staraptor for me. Love the dark look it has and its in game call is pretty epic.

Staraptor is nice, but I like Fearow better.

But not Pidgeot, so my choice is Staraptor.

In usefulness, Staraptor wins. A battle between them would be a complete joke. Pidgeot just plains sucks.

Plus I always disliked Pidgeot. A much better battle would have been between Starptor and Swellow. At least that one would be a close one.

Battle-wise? Staraptor, obviously. Hands-down.

Staraptor. It has good stats especially in attack. It has bad defence but with Close Combat and Mud Slap, it makes up for it. Next to Togekiss, it has to be the best Normal/Flying type yet.

Obviously it is Staraptor. It is very useful for battles and it looks cool. Although I did use Pidgeot, I am led to believe Staraptor is the better bird because I guess it is designed that way. Also, I agree that comparing Staraptor to Swellow is better, since both have their own competitive advantages.

I can't decide. I love both Pokemon.

But you can't deny that Staraptor is more useful.

In battle, definitely it is Staraptor. It has way higher stats than Pidgeot & learns close combat useful in taking down rock, steel, dark, normal & ice. I agree, this should have been Swellow vs Staraptor. Pidgeot is like uncomparable with Staraptor, no contest between them. And yes, we need a POLL.
