Hey all, I just got a pencil for my iPad (technically not the apple pencil but does most everything it does - and it was on sale!) and am looking to start drawing digitally. I'll probably get Procreate at some point but since I'm just dabbling for now I wasn't sure if there were any free alternatives that y'all would recommend. Thanks :)

Personally, I don't have an iPad, so I'm not too sure if these will be available to you. I recommend Autodesk Sketchbook or HiPaint; Ibis also works. HiPaint seems to be the most like Procreate. I wish you the best of luck!

seconding ibis paint! it's my personal favorite mobile drawing program :) it has both a paid and free version - the free version has a lot of great tools, although some features are still locked behind a paywall. you could also try the medibang app, which is completely free and has more-or-less has the same functionality as its desktop ver.

hope you have fun beginning digital art! :bulbaLove:
