Since I don't know what thread is most appropriate for this I'll post it here and most likely get in trouble.

I'm looking at the IV's of some of my Pokemon and in some of their stats, the IV shows as invalid. The thing is, the Pokemon I'm checking are all from FR/LG and R/S/E that I imported. I'm using the stat calculator on Marriland. Any possible explanation on why that is?

You have to know the EVs on the Pokemon you're IV checking. (also, not sure how accurate marriland's IV calc is, but I think this ones more accurate: link)
