Hi I was wondering which is the best pokemon diamond and pearl guide book to get. I was looking at the nintendo power one and I saw that it didn't list the attacks and when the pokemon learned them in the pokedex section. I want a guide book that has this. So please if anyone knows a good guide book to get please tell me.

There's just the NP one and the Prima one. If you're looking for a list of moves and stuff, you could just visit Serebii or Bulbapedia. I got the Prima one, but only because it came free with D and P.

DarkTorterra, you could get either Nintendo Power's Pokedex Guide or Prima's Pokedex Guide, though I suggest NPs because Prima's been known to make mistakes. Make sure that it's the Pokedex Guide and not the standard one.

I read some reviews about this, and (in case there's any confusion) the overwhelming sentiment was that the Nintendo strategy guide is superior, while the Prima Pokédex is the better choice of Pokédexes, because it has more illustration per Pokémon, more all-around info on stats and such, and also info on catching that Pokémon right on the page.

That's the word on the street, anyway.

Personally, I still vastly prefer the Internet, but it certainly would be nice to have a book I could look at anywhere I like.

yeah I'm looking for a guide I always get one with my pokemon games. Nintendo Power should have made a better one!

Prima usually provides wrong information, so I wouldn't depend on their guide.

I agree with Geof. The NP Guide (mine has only Palkia and Dialga on it) it the best choice. It comes with a poster that has a map on it on one side and a complete list of where to get every pokemon on the back. It comes with a post Elite Four walk through, what every move does (contest and attack wise) and though it only has the Sugimori pics, it's way better then not having any at all. It gives an over view about which stat the pokemon specializes in and lists what attacks they learn and what they could learn. It has all the 490 pokemon (minus the three event ones).

And at only 14.95 at Wal-Mart, it's a steal.
