((OOC: This was a random RP me and my girlfriend did simply as I had gotten temporarily bored of the typical pokemon and LoD RPs we had always done.))

Ello govna... yeah I'm not even gonna bother with the fake accent. I'm American what do you expect? I'm one of like six American's living in Britain. Its not bad here really. I mean I did just get off the ship, airship that is. I took a cab to my new apartment. It was smaller than my one in New York, but less exploded, so I couldn't complain. I began to haul the boxes of my not destroyed belongings up the stairs, and to my two rooms on the top floor. Technically I owned two. One was for my living, the other for my life. I'm a mechanist, and inventor, and I live to tinker with machines of all sorts.

I was walking down the hall to my apartment, minding my own business. I wasn't, however, exactly looking where I was going. Which is probably how my poor foot ended-up having a fairly violent -and painful- introduction to a cardboard-box that -for some reason or another- was sitting in the middle of the hallway. "Ow!" I hissed, hopping up and down on my uninjured foot, "Bloody Hell!"

I leaned out of my doorway hearing the racket.

"Uhm... please tell this isn't how loud it normally is around here. I do have work to deal with, and for now it involves moving a lot of boxes."

I put my foot down and glared at the git. "Well, no, it isn't. Usually, it's much too quiet around-here. I don't know about wherever it is you come-from, but here, people tend to make some bloody noise when they hit their foot on a box sitting in the hallway."

"Oh was wondering where I put that one thanks for finding it."

I walked out grabbed the box, and glanced at the girl.

"Nice goggles."

Then I took the box back to my apartment.

"No the new neighbor is Jefferson, and he is not deaf either."

I gave a startled laugh. "Well, cheers for telling me, mate. I never woulda guessed, what with you answerin' me an' all."

"Yes, but considering the way you talk behind my back wasn't sure if you thought I was just reading lips."

"Deaf people aren't that.....articulate, mate. I replied, smirking. "If they talk, it's all halting and garbled. I might believe the lip-reading story if you'd showed-up shnockered."

((*Drunk))

"Not everyone is born deaf. I'm sure you've met the previous resident of this apartment. That was my uncle, and he was deaf in his left ear after he attempted to silence a pistol, and instead made it louder."

"That guy was your uncle?" I asked, smiling slightly, "Nice to know. I actually liked him. He was an alright bloke." I glanced at my watch. "Bollocks! If you'll excuse me, sir, I'm late."

"If I may be so bold, Late for what?"

"Ah plenty fun." I chuckled before going back into my apartment.

I laughed and shrugged. "They're my siblings, I don't get a choice. Goodbye, Mister Jefferson." I headed to my family's apartment, next-door.

I began to try and go through the crates. I had a lot of random mechanisms and odd left over pieces which I brought along, but not much in terms of normal belongings. I pulled the dust covers off the few pieces of furniture my uncle left behind , and took a seat in his armchair.

"I had to blow up my lab."

I, meanwhile was attempting to deal with my six younger brothers and sisters. "Jane, love, the furniture is not for climbing. Yes, Alice, I see your lovely drawing, just- Thomas! Get that our of your mouth!"

I took a nap in the arm chair no amount of noise from next door able to wake me. I was used to the loud NYC skyline with blimps and airships flying by my window. Kids were nothing.
